Very nice place to stay. Very nice place to stay. Quiet and comfortable rooms. Check in was a breeze. Staff are friendly. Would definitely stay here again on our way to southern Alabama. Easy access from I-59. AC worked great. The breakfast was good, but you probably don't have many visitors like me who eat whole food plant based. That's okay as long as there is some fresh fruit I can have to complement the oatmeal I bring myself. I don't know if you are the ones who offered clementines instead of oranges. They are much easier to peel.

Coated in TOXIC MOLD Comfort Inn was anything but comfortable! The first room we were offered had a broken AC unit that sounded like a jackhammer. I have two sound clips. My mother and I debated whether we could handle the jackhammer noise all night because we were afraid of what we would get next as the whole place was looking run down. We then requested another room. The second room we were given was covered in toxic mold. The smell made us gag but we didn’t see it clearly at first because the mold was growing on the dark furniture. The first bit of mold I saw was on the side of the headboard. I noticed it when I plugged my phone into the plug on the beside table, which then was also covered in mold. It was late and we were tired so we decided to sleep with our heads away from the headboards because the mold was all over the headboard and the side table. In the morning, my mother and I were SICK from the toxic mold exposure. Upon closer inspection the next day, we saw that the mold was all over every single piece of dark furniture. The desk, especially the underside, the dresser, the armoire, were all coated. It has been a few days and my mom and I are still coughing up the thick mucousy aftermath. This location needs to be shut down by the health department!

Stay somewhere else!! We arrived after a very long trip to stay the night. Apparently we disturbed the front desk womans TV show and she was extremely rude. Told us the rate very short tone and never once greeted us in any fashion. After check in she informed me very rudely that the elevator was out and we are on 3rd floor. We could walk up. I told her my husband just had hip replacement and had developed a blood clot in his lung. She said "Well it's only 2 flights of stairs". She then left the desk for the back to finish her interrupted show. I carried the luggage up the steps but if there had been much other choices we would have left. Never did I receive any offer of help or anything but rude unkind responses. Manage was informed but all she did was send me a pre-programed cookie cutter response. I have told them that none of my family will ever grace their door again. I have stayed in many many hotels and never been treated that rudely in my life. Hotel wasn't very clean either.

Far from what I expected. Greatly disappointed. From the start, I noticed this is a "Privately Owned" hotel operated under the license of Comfort Inn & Suites. It is extremely understaffed. I saw 5 employees in five days. Two of which were not front desk clerks. Had the pleasure of watching them enjoy a smoke out in front of the main entrance as we entered and as we sat having breakfast in the morning. Such a professional presentation. Lovely thing to view over coffee & waffles (sarcasm). The carpets throughout the entire hotel are in desperate need of a good vacuum if not shampooing. Excessive dust buildup along the edges. Even the elevator floor was dirty. We stayed for five nights. The same food spill spots were in the elevator the entire time. Lesson Learned: There is a sign in the bathroom that states linens will be changed every third day. Later I noticed their website states "Choice Hotels® locations offer housekeeping services upon request". What? So, $100/night & take out the trash yourself. So, after I requested services, they came in and took out the trash, put in clean towels & made the beds on day four. However, they did NOT change the sheets. I know this because my pillow was still jammed up under the headboard where I left it from sitting up in bed that morning working on my laptop. Also, the sheets had the same "Body wrinkles" & evidence my family had been sleeping there for the last 4 nights. Including black lint from the Wife's PJs. The included breakfast was simple & typical grab-and-go stuff. Nothing fancy or worth mentioning. Nothing I would eat at home or order in a restaurant. On a positive note, everything was clean and sanitary in that aspect. I will not be staying at another Comfort Inn & Suites. I usually stay at Holliday Inn Express when I travel. This seemed comparable on their website for a slightly lower price. It was not worth the minuscule savings to deal with the disparity in "Hotel Services" and lac-luster, somewhat dirty hotel for 5 days. If I hadn't pre-paid a nonrefundable charge I would have gone somewhere else. I don't know where it got its 4-star rating. This is a 2-star at best. The Walmart of Hotels in the Trussville area.

Business Trip I was in town for business and not being from Alabama I needed so help with directions. The lady at the front desk was so so sweet. She helped me so much figure out where I needed to go and what time I needed to leave to try and miss traffic. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have stayed in for a while and I slept like a baby. Breakfast was great had a lot of options; the waffles was the best. I will be back in town next month and will definitely stay here again.
