Fantastic , great staff and great food This hotel is first class. The staff were absolutely amazing especially Arianna in reception and Sarah in the bar . Also Aaron in the bar ( I think that was his name ). We were looked after (3 couples) with 5 star treatment . There was a mix up with dinner reservation and we were accommodated with professionalism on both nights , thank you Arianna and Sarah . The craic from the bar and reception staff was fantastic.. Rooms were immaculate and service staff were professional and courteous. Spa is fantastic too as is the golf course which was in prime condition.. Highly recommend this place . Food is out of this world too .

Fantastic Hotel with exceptional staff I am just back from a fantastic two night stay in Mount Wolseley Hotel and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing break away from it all. From the moment we drove up the tree lined drive to the moment we left everything was perfect. I spoke with Liz Mahon who is the Rooms Division Manger when booking my room and she is such a lovely lady to deal with. We also met Liz at reception when checking out and she is an absolute gem of a lady - a real character and so personable. We checked in around 6.30 pm and Luiza who checked us in was so welcoming, friendly and informative - nothing was too much trouble at all. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor which was perfect. When we entered our room we found a bottle of prosecco, a beautiful box of chocolates and a welcome plate of mini desserts courtesy of Liz and also Kate who is General Manager of the hotel. I had mentioned in passing that this was a special occasion and they surprised us with this in our room on arrival which was totally unexpected and so thoughtful. The room was spacious with a double bed and a single bed and the bathroom was amazing. The lighting was great in both the bedroom and the bathroom which I thought was brilliant as there's noting worse than not being able to see your face whilst trying to put on your makeup to glam yourself up for the night. This fact alone would entice me back as I have stayed in hotels where the lighting was shockingly bad in both the bedroom and bathroom and you just had to hope for the best! Housekeeping were amazing during our stay and I would like to single out Cathy in particular as she serviced our room and was a delight to deal with - she gave us some tips on shopping in Carlow so much appreciated. We had food in the bar on the Friday night and even though the bar was full of other diners and also a very large group of approximately 40 people, we were so well looked after by all the team there in particular by Kelly and Emily that night. The whole team were amazing and calm under pressure and served us and also everyone around us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble at all. These young people are a credit to Kate Harrison (General Manager) and her entire management team. Breakfast on both mornings was fabulous - a great selection of food on a well presented buffet with loads to choose from. The staff were very attentive on both mornings also and everyone had a smile for the guests in the hotel which was great to witness as the hotel looked to be full on both nights. We had lunch in the bar on Saturday afternoon and I have to say the Club Sandwich was a hit and was recommended to us by Emma. She is a credit to the hotel and made sure we were looked after and we saw her again when we had drinks in the bar after dinner that night- still looking after people and with a smile too. We had dinner included in our package and had this in Frederick's Restaurant on the Saturday night. The food was amazing - compliments to the head Chef and his team. The duck starter was amazing as was the Seabass. Even though the restaurant was full and they had two private rooms with family celebrations taking place in each we never felt rushed or under pressure which is a credit to the team both front of house and also back of house. We would like to commend Oran, Luke and Callum in the restaurant as they looked after us for dinner and were exceptional. We never felt rushed and one of them always seemed to appear to top up wine or to check on us in an unobtrusive way which is a skill in itself. When it came time to leave on Sunday morning we checked out with Vica who was so friendly and offered us help with our bags (which we didn't need but we appreciated the offer). We also met Sinead at reception when checking out who asked us how our stay was and we had a lovely chat about the team and how wonderful we found them all to be. Based on our fabulous stay in this hotel I decided to book my family (27 adults and 11 children) in for my dad's 70th birthday celebrations in January next year. We were originally looking at booking a sister property in Donegal for this event but after how well we were looked after by Kate and her team we have decided to have this event in Mount Wolseley instead. To sum it up, I would like to thank Kate Harrison and her xceptional team for a fantastic few days and I look forward to seeing you all again in January for the family celebration.
