It was okay. It was an alright stay. The place is situated close to restaurants which can be a walking distance. The overall condition of the hotel is decent, ample parking space, maybe because i stayed on a less busy night. Room was decent and you can hear people inside of their room. Not too bad although they will cancel your reservation for whatever reason.

Reservation was canceled by Candlewood 10 months after it was made We have a group people going to the PGA Championship at Southern Hills. I made the reservation in June 2021, just a couple days ago they canceled my reservation saying they were booked which is BS. They had jacked up the price to about $500 a night for the PGA Tournament and did not want to loose any money. Because they waited so long to to cancel me my options for booking somewhere else was down to about 3 options for the rest of the city and the rooms were $500 a night. So the original booking was going to cost $750 just jumped to $4600+. The bottom line is they knew years in advance the dates of this Golf Tournament and did nothing till it was 1 month away, Thank You Candlewood.

Dropping Standards It is disappointing to watch Candlewood standards continuously drop. We have stayed at Candlewoods for years but unfortunately we are staying less and less. We had pre-made a chicken vegetable stir fry and brought cheese, eggs and onions to make breakfast but unfortunately according to the front desk there were not frying pans in the building.....we then were going to do laundry but there was one washing machine working...... the two reasons we had chosen and paid more for a Candlewood Suites. I would say this is not only false advertising, very poor management but also robbery. Don't waste your money.

Rude Manager, Not Pet friendly I notified the hotel when I made the reservations for five days however when I arrived they wanted another $100 on top of the stay for “incidentals” which should include anything in the room that happens. We notified on arrival and even walked the pets through the front door no problem. On the second morning I walked my dogs around the block and over to a store to do some shopping. On the way back my dog had an accident and left a blessing near the road in the driveway away from parking spots, no danger of anybody stepping on the blessing left by my dog. When I walked into the hotel the manager, Mary Brown ( I would refer to her as a concierge if this were a nicer hotel and a concierge would’ve taken care of the blessing). was ripping green bags out of a box and said we would like you to have these. I said thank you, saving them for the next time, seeing how there weren’t any outside I headed to my room. The rude manager walked around and met me as I was heading toward the elevator and said we would like you to use those now. I said the blessing (turd if you haven’t figured that out by now) was out in the driveway a car will eventually drive over it and take care of it. There are companies that specialize in removing dog blessings however I thought that with the inflated prices and the extra money I had paid should cover any expenses for a removal of one blessing. However the rude concierge insisted I do it now. I obliged her and went and picked the blessing up and took it to a dumpster so it would not be in any of the hotel receptacles, I thought this was above and beyond the rude manager did not. When I came back in the hotel I notified the rude manager where I took the blessing and that I was not above picking blessings up since I had done this many times as a fireman over the span of my career. The rude manager had several pieces of paper spread out across the desk for me to sign one of which was another form for a pet deposit of $50 per pet per day which was not refundable. I told her I was not notified when I arrived of this and I was not going to sign. The rude manager said maybe I should leave so I went upstairs to notify my family we have been asked to leave. When my wife went downstairs the rude manager threatened to call the police which I should’ve waited and explained to them the highway robbery and racket the manager was carrying on inside her hotel. My family and I packed our bags and left to find another hotel which took away from the time I was able to spend with my family. Thanks Mary Brown

Extremely rude manager The staff was unbelievably rude to my family. We stayed for two nights but had reservations for 5 nights. The third morning we were there my dad took one of our small dogs outside to use the restroom. As he was walking to the grass the dog dropped one small turd in the driveway as they were making their way to the grassy patch. When my dad came back inside the rude manager Mary Brown asked him to clean up the turd in the driveway and handed him a bag. He took the bag and cleaned up the poop. When he came back inside she was extremely rude to him and asked him to sign all of this paperwork and pack his bags and leave. Then my mom went to ask what happened and the manager threaded to call the police and we weren’t even being hostile. We got our bags and dogs and left. We have never been treated so rude in our entire life. The room was left in perfect condition. Our dogs didn’t even bark the entire time we were there and were never left unattended. Corporate has been notified.
