7 nights in downtown Vancouver The executive room was very spacious, extremely comfortable bed, great coffee machine in room, great swimming pool (fitness centre also available). Great night's sleep. Very welcoming and friendly reception desk, Unwind Restaurant and Lounge was very good for breakfast and dinner with a good range of food and drinks options. Dietary requirements dealt with without a problem by the kitchen.

Happy stay! All the things you need in a hotel, friendly staff and amenities. Would have appreciated a place to open the laptop and work but settled in the cafe after permission from staff. Could walk to all we needed but our car was safely parked away in the secure garage

Good hotel in the wrong area There’s nothing wrong with the hotel, comfortable beds and decent rooms but there seems to be a homeless shelter almost next door to the hotel and we were shocked to see drug addicts injecting in the street and taking drugs in front of anyone passing. There were a lot of homeless drug addicts around the hotel, it was very distressing to see. We never felt threatened by them but could so easily have been. The same goes for Granville street which is the next street down. I would consider very carefully how you would feel if you witnessed this as to whether you book this hotel or not. Good hotel just in an undesirable area.

Great hotel…better staff Stayed at this lovely hotel for a few days before an Alaska cruise. Hotel very good value for money. However that is only half the story. Pre visit I bombarded Kris the manager with tourist questions and he took time to reply giving sound helpful advice . When our cruise finished it meant we would have 10 hours in the airport.Kris kindly allowed us to leave our baggage at the hotel whilst we had the last chance to visit this lovely city. Would strongly recommend staying at this ideally located hotel, thank you

Very comfortable, central hotel but neighbourhood a bit iffy. Firstly the hotel is well located as everything you’d want to do is within a 20 minute walk; but secondly its location is also not that great as the neighbourhood is sketchy to say the least. Granville, 1 block away, is really rough and the surrounding couple of blocks are rammed with homeless people. Check-in was also a pain. We arrived an hour before check-in time, left our bags and went for something to eat as we’d had a long journey from Montreal. We came back a little after check-in time and it still was not ready. My status level gives me a guaranteed room at check-in time and the agent tried to get me to take a regular king room with sofa bed instead of the suite that I’d booked and paid - a lot - for. I decided to wait and was told they’d rush the cleaning. Half an hour later, still nothing, and the manager came out to apologise. He gave a hefty discount and sent 2 more people up to get the room ready. He also bought my wife and I a drink at the bar. The suite was very nice, very large but with a curiously small shower room. The king bed was great and the pull out sofa also very comfortable. A second sofa was also provided so using one as a bed still left sitting space. The only complaint about the room was the fact that the shower gel hadn’t been refilled (the old days where you got individual bottles was much easier to tell when it had all been used!), so we had to leave a note to ask for it to be replaced. We had drinks in the bar and the happy hour prices were definitely very reasonable. On balance, I would recommend the hotel but watch it after dark. The surrounding area isn’t good.
