Hotel Erwin Venice Beach

I want to go back. Ambiance is great. Lobby has all you need for a fun filled day. Staff is amazing. Breakfast was yummy!!! Views are breath taking and I want to return as soon as I got home.

Excellent place in Venice Beach The view from my room was amazing! This is my first time in a LA and i loved where i stayed. Friendly environment for sure. The hotel provided us with bikes, it was so much fun.

An Underrated Rooftop Gem - Cafe Review Great rooftop cafe/bar with cool vibes, phenomenal food, and to die for views of the Pacific ocean. Go for the flatbreads- excellent- and the yummy salads and desserts. Truly an outstanding stop in the Venice area or even just enroute home from the airport that will delight locals and visiting tourists alike. Excellent service (shoutout to our server Luis) complements the view and th chance to relax, unwind, and enjoy a perk at Venice Beach.

An unforgettable stay, close to everything Venice Beach has to offer! A super special thanks to Hotel Erwin staff member Jessica! She went out of her way to make our stay comfortable and very memorable @Hotel Erwin. Jessica organized our bicycles for us on short notice, pointed us to an awesome laundromat close by when we really needed it and made our stay just so special. If ever we could imagine the perfect Hotel staff member and hostess, it was she. Absolutely 5 stars for her and Hotel Erwin, hope to see you all again soon!

The people made the visit A mixed but good stay. Let's get the bad out of the way. Venice Beach has me feeling old with the noise and the overwhelming weed smell that kept me from opening the windows and enjoying my patio view of the gorgeous ocean. The cloth couches and carpet definitely feel like the room has been humid. And the shower is a little claustrophobic if you're bigger than 5'2 and 120 pounds. I've seen complaints about the slow elevator and it is a little but really not that bad. BUT the good is plentiful. The view. The food. The promptness of both room service and the rooftop bar service. The incredible view from the rooftop bar (2 floors made a surprisingly big difference! But make a reservation, it gets busy!) The huge size of suites, which aren't a big price upgrade. What sets the Erwin apart, though, are the people. From Anthony who greets you at valet to the ever-patient -and- helpful Desiree to Andrés in Engineering (who fixed my a/c lickety split then apologized because he thought he might be dirty from a big mechanical job) to the charming Danny at the rooftop restaurant. Everyone was so friendly and kind and relaxed and lovely, and that set a great tone for my stay. I hear they just got taken over by new management who was vowed to clear out the bugs (not live ones) in the room service systems and the TVs, which are a little weird, so I expect it will just get better. I don't think I'd stay in a back/oceanfront room again just because of boardwalk noise and aromas, but I might have to check out the upgrades down the road Special thanks to Desiree and Anthony and Andrés and Danny for making me feel so welcome and at home.
