A special place for a special occasion, we really enjoyed the best address in Venice This really is the best address in town, with the best service. Nothing is too much for them and the restaurants and bars were superb. All the staff were very helpful. We would like to highlight the following for making our stay, and my wife’s birthday, extra special….Pia, David, Giuseppe, Thomas, Christiano and specially Ariana. Chef de rang, Augusto was so engaging, professional and ensured that our breakfasts and birthday dinner were so enjoyable!

Over Rated and Dissapointing We booked a Terrace Grand Canal View room for 3 nights at great cost and were disappointed in many ways. Firstly after 18 hours of flying and being hot and sweaty on arriving on an extremely hot day we tried to check-in at the advised time of 3pm only to be told sorry the room wont be available until 5pm as last guest was allowed to checkout late. We were offered a free drink in the bar as if this was to be sufficient for this major inconvenience. All we wanted to do was check in at the advertised time, have a shower and a nap before going out later for dinner. This didn't happen :( After finally getting into our room and hour later and eager to see and experience the Grand Canal View from the our balcony we were very disappointed to find that yes we could see the Grand Canal but it was about 100m away and we had to view it across a number of rooftops between us and the canal, not quite explained that way on the web site though. This was supposed to be a special treat for my wife's 60th birthday and hence booked a special room with a view accordingly but didn't turn out that way. Be very careful paying high cost for this view when you wont actually be anywhere near the canal !!! With a balcony room you also cannot lock your balcony door without getting someone to come up and lock it special for you each time you left the room. The balcony is shared with adjoining rooms and would be simple exercise for them to access your section of the balcony and enter your room if you were there. We ended up just leaving the door locked as who wants to sit on a balcony and look over adjoining rooftops to see a glimpse of the Grand Canal. Finally plenty of staff standing around all the time and doormen to open and close the door for you, but on most occasions they were too busy just standing and talking to actually do their job. Overall we found this hotel over priced, over rated, underwhelming and could not recommend a stay here. Better to find some other hotel located centrally and forget trying to get a canal view. Be warned if you book a Grand canal View room and expect to be next to the canal, not the case.

No place better in Venice I don’t think it gets better in Venice. We stayed for 2 nights and were really impressed with the service, the quality of f&b, the room, housekeeping and the recommendations they had for us. We are Bonvoy Titanium and was kindly upgraded to a suite with a partial canal view, this was appreciated although we didn’t spend much time in the room. Highlights was evening cocktails at the Gio terrace overlooking the canal. The location is also unbeatable - a mere 5 min walk from San Marco Square. Don’t think twice, just book it - you won’t regret it.

Our happy place As good as it gets. Amazing location, staff and property. From the concierge to the wait staff to the butler service we were made to feel special at every turn. The beds were so comfortable. Afternoon latte on the water was our fav. Cant wait to return. Only constructive feedback is that two of checkin desks is limited and leads to waits. Maybe a third desk or have a staff member sit with guest and take passports and credit card in the back for processing. A truly special property highly recommend .

Amazing hotel. Amazing staff. Amazing location. We loved our stay at the St. Regis in Venice. At check in, we received a room upgrade to a suite b/c of my Marriott Bonvoy status. The staff was attentive and informative. Loved talking with Thomas, one of the wait staff, each morning at breakfast. He was friendly, interesting and helpful. Breakfast was our best meal each day thanks to the hotel’s incredible buffet. The view from our breakfast table was 5 star.
