Sandcastle Resort On The Beach

Standard/average stay - clean with competent staff, but nothing exceptional This hotel was a hotel. We stayed at the beach and enjoyed the surrounding activities. Staff was pleasant and room was clean. Hotel felt old and worn overall, while everything was functional, nothing was outstanding or exquisite. I would stay here again, but probably will try someplace else the next time I come through - although I am guessing that this hotel meets the standard of stay found up and down the beach and other hotels will likely afford me a similar guest experience.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sandcastle for our yearly trip to beautiful Virginia Beach After reading all the positive reviews on TripAdvisor, my husband and I decided to book a room at the Best Western Sandcastle for our July trip to Virginia Beach. I'm so glad we did. We had a two queen bed room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful ocean front. We were on the 7th Floor. The room was very clean and in good shape. The size of the bathroom sink was a bit challenging as far as a place to put all of our toiletries but we made it work. The beds were extremely comfortable and the pillows were as well. The balcony door was a bit of a hassle to get open to go in or out of but we managed. The view could not be beat. Very close to the beautiful fishing pier and Ocean Eddie's Restaurant. There is also restaurants downstairs in the hotel. Everyone who works there was very nice and accommodating. A couple of times I needed to go to the front desk and handle something and I'd like to give a shout out to Sierra who was very nice, professional, and accommodating. There's also a gift shop in this hotel if you need to pick up sunglasses or t-shirts or a soft drink. The location of this hotel is fantastic for walking. You can walk to anywhere you need to go within a reasonable amount of time. There's live music downstairs every night until 11 or so and we did hear the music all the way up in our room but it was fine since we were on vacation and it wasn't a bother. The continental breakfast here is fantastic. There are so many choices. There is something for everyone in your family. Eggs bacon sausage biscuits gravy potatoes grits hot cereal Cold Cereal fruit yogurt juice milk cold cereal bread to make your own toast Bagels pastries. Hats off to the breakfast crew for feeding all of us every morning. They were very nice. As of when we left yesterday, the Sandcastle did not have daily maid service due to covid but if you need towels or anything all you have to do is call downstairs and I'll bring it to you or you can stop at the front desk and get what you need. don't have daily maid service but that's okay if you need towels or anything all you have to do is call the front desk and they will bring it to you or you can stop down and talk to whoever is behind the counter and they will help you. I highly recommend staying at the Best Western Sandcastle. I'm pretty sure we'll come back next year! I've included some pictures of our room

Weekend getaway We had a weekend getaway with the family and had a great stay. Breakfast was great, hotel was clean for a beach hotel. We brought a broom to help with the sandy floors but loved it wasn’t carpeted. Will stay again

Best ocean front view room Great customer service. We have an issue with my reservation. Someone change it from a 2 queen bed to a 1 king bed room which I did not do, but the front desk worker along with the manager fixed the problem for us the following night. They are very helpful. We are satisfied and happy on our stay.

2021 family vacation We have just enjoyed going back every year. It was actually our 3rd time being there. We like that we don’t have to drive anywhere, everything is right there if we needed something. We also liked listening to the bands on the boardwalk! Thank you, Holly Markel
