Days Inn by Wyndham Virginia Beach Town Center

Umm… DON’T. I stayed at this Days Inn for one night on a business trip. Very little going for it. The property looks run down and unmaintained, and the parking lot is unevenly paved and in a state of disrepair. While the check-in clerk was pleasant and polite, I was taken aback when I was asked if I wanted a smoking or non-smoking room. Did not know that smoking rooms still existed in the 21st Century. Hint… they shouldn’t. I was given a non-smoking room, and thankfully, there was little olfactory evidence of cigarette essence. The room itself? Well… even with every light turned on, you felt like you were fully encased in shadow. Definitely not adequate for reading or doing work. The floor felt like it was on the verge of caving in as you approached the bathroom area. Carpet tacks sticking out of the floor made it dangerous to walk in bare feet. The walls were paper-thin… I could easily hear the conversations and coughs and other assorted noises emanating from the next room… as well as door slams from the parking lot and the constant roar of traffic from the busy street that abuts the hotel. Was not conducive to getting a good night’s rest. The only reasons that my review is 2 stars instead of 1 are that the bed and pillows were comfortable, and the air conditioner worked extremely well. BTW… when I tried to shower in the morning, I was less than pleased to discover that not only was there no hot water… there was no water at all. Just a pathetic little drip. Due to my haste to depart, I skipped the shower and made my way to the lobby for breakfast at 9:15 AM. I had been told by the front desk clerk the day before that breakfast would be available from 6-10 AM. Plenty of time to grab a bite, right? Well, only if you wanted cereal (without milk) or bread (without anything). Either the breakfast food had been cleared prematurely… or this was a severe case of “deceptive advertising”. So, I left without a shower or breakfast, ready for my seven-hour drive back home. Do not stay at this hotel unless you have no other options. I noticed that it is ranked #97 out of 116 hotels in the Virginia Beach area. That’s about right.

Dump The place is a dump at best...room.was dirty floor was filthy. No hot water warm.at best.location is in the getto.

Gross Roaches .. broken mini fridge.. flat pillows.. dirty dressers draws and carpet filthy..the rooms are rented weekly and the extended stay people party loud all night and linger in the parking lot and around ur windows and door.. absolutely uncomfortable with my young child..

Look for another place! The facility was horrid. A non-smoking room (with a non-smoking sign on the door) that smelled like cigarettes with an ashtray inside! The only ice machine was broke, had to purchase a bag of ice. The carpet made my feet black, not sure if it's ever been cleaned. Fridge had melted ice cream in the freezer (from someone else) because it didn't work properly. Smoke detector was hanging from the wires off the wall. The mattress (both) were like tacos. The shower head had black mold on it (never took a shower in the morning). There was a ~2' x ~1.5" crack where the ceiling and wall were separated. The phone did not work. I checked both the plug on the wall and phone, both were securely attached. Oh and for the icing on the cake! There was a cut (shortened) drinking straw left from previous customers, that must have been doing cocaine in the room. The guy working did give me ice from their employee fridge that had ice trays, but that wasn't enough & had to buy ice from the store.

Not worth what I paid Reception was awful when I checked in. Only had a loaf of bread laid out for breakfast and coffee, no butter or jelly and we came at 7am for breakfast. Don’t recommend staying here for any other travel.
