Pleasant Surprise We had stayed at this Hampton Inn before, and all was good enough to return. Upon our return, we were delighted to see that the entire hotel had been updated. Check-in was friendly and smooth. Our room was spotless, and had new furniture that offered plenty of storage and convenience (i.e., the furniture had built in charging/electric outlets that we plentiful and gave easy access). The room include a very large screen TV. Our room (415) was very quiet. As well, breakfast has been expanded to include things like vegitable and cheese omlets, bacon, potatoes, etc. (One morning also offfered steel-cut oatmeal.) The breakfast offfering varied each day during our entire visit. This is an excellent general hotel, with a very competitive price for the area. Obviously, not "luxury," but a good family/work hotel. If you are looking for a good location, helpful staff, clean room, and a decent hot breakfast, I believe that you will be happy here.

Never stay here again I will never stay at a Hilton property again. This was the worst customer service experience I’ve had at the Hampton Inn (5793 Greenwich Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). No one from the corporate office offered any help, and both the manager, Nis Young, and the owner, Tesh Patel, failed to respond to my last emails. I’m extremely disappointed in this brand.

Understaffed, Outdated and Dangerous As a HH member and one who used points towards this stay, I could not have been more disappointed in our experience. I will start with a positive. The staff was friendly however the hotel was severely understaffed and outdated. Upon check in, there was a leak from the ceiling just outside of our room and a bucket in front of our front door was placed to catch the dirty, smelly water with dead insects floating in it. Only ONE bathroom on the first floor was functional, only ONE ice machine worked, only ONE dryer in the laundry room worked...multiple equipment issues! Our room was not serviced ONE single time...meaning housekeeping did not come into our room once to make a bed or provide towels or take out the trash or do an express cleaning. Not once and we were there for 5 days. The second day of our stay there were not even towels at the front desk and we had to use pool towels until laundry was done in the evening and then the nice housekeeper brought them to us. She also came by the next couple days asking if we needed towels but that was it as far as service. We bagged up our own garbage and towels and set them outside of our front door. There was NO sign on our door requesting privacy either. Another huge concern was safety related. We did not feel safe at all in this hotel. There was a homeless man clearly on drugs sitting outside on the right side of the hotel for literally 3 days and no one from the Hampton knew about him or claimed they did not. So no security to check the premises? There was literally a trail of vomit and urine on one side of the hotel. This man ended up fist fighting police officers (after the front desk was finally asked to call the police) and the police beat him and cuffed him and took him into custody and our child witnessed this. The next day there was caution tape and a crime scene that we had to walk past as well. The garbage outside the entrance was overflowing and the breakfast area was dirty and not kept tidy during breakfast hours. I reached out to Hilton to share this experience and was told that a member of the hotel staff would be in touch with me within 3 days...that came and went with no response from the hotel. Very disappointed in this experience and would not recommend.

No rooms, despite parking lot being empty Arrived at 12, told they were so busy we couldn't check in early. Arrived back at 4:00, told they still didn't have rooms. Hire more housekeeping staff. Stuck sitting in the lobby with my stuff. We have a group of six traveling for work. Very unhappy with this.

Awesome Breakfast! We stopped on our way through the are. It is located in a nice quiet spot. We drove a shot distance to The Shaky Crab for dinner and loved it. We found the room to be clean and cool. Breakfast was way better than most hotels! Everyone was very friendly!
