Mixed review The good: The lobby area is welcoming with a nice, typical Hampton Inn breakfast offering. Everything was clean (except carpet), The bed and pillows are comfortable. The air conditioner worked well and having a mini fridge & microwave in the room was a nice touch. Pleasant staff. Nice, safe, and convenient location. The not so good: the room had a musty, old carpet snell, the carpet was sticky, furniture damaged/chipped, bathroom light over the sink was inoperable, plug/unplug was only way to operate the bedside lamp as it had no switch, and the hairdryer shorted out blew sparks & died while trying to dry my hair the first day. The pool was out of order, but this was listed online so expected. Broken items reported to maintenance, but not resolved during our stay. Property in need of some TLC. Hilton lifetime diamond member.

Bad for business When my husband and I arrived at the Hampton Inn, there was no one at the front desk. My husband patiently waiting about 30 mins. Apparently the girl got off at 3 PM without waiting for back up and then the back up when the cleaning lady text her and asked if she was coming in she said no so therefore they have no one working the front desk And no one around that knows how, the only person employee inside was the housekeeping lady So Ava dropped the ball and didn’t pull her weight covering her shift, but I don’t know the name of the girl that left without waiting for back up that shouldn’t have happened. Apparently they don’t have anything in place when something like this occurs. Needless to say we did not get to stay there and won’t ever.

Disappointed with this Hampton Inn I hesitate to write poor reviews and rarely do, but this hotel merits it. Specifically the experience provided by a front desk representative. We stayed a week ago for a wedding in Waco. We had brought a cake to celebrate and needed to store it in a larger refrigerator at reception. The representative was initially friendly and said it wouldn’t be a problem. I left it with her and checked into my room. An hour later, I came down to grab another suitcase and unfortunately, the cake was still sitting in the same place I had left it. I asked the representative if I needed to bring it later and she responded that she was going to bring it to the refrigerator asap. Fast forward to another hour passed. I came downstairs because I was concerned over her staying true to her word. It was unfortunately sitting in the exact same place I left it. There was not a guest checking in to be seen and the person acted like they did not see me, instead she carried on a conversation on the phone. I don’t work in hotel management but I would think that guest satisfaction would be higher on one’s priorities than that. We were severely disappointed with the hotel due to this individual and wouldn’t return.

Too many other choices- don’t stay here The staff at this hotel is the most unprofessional and rudest in the entire Hilton chain. This not only includes the front office staff, but the General Manager as well. I travel all over the country and have been Hilton loyal All year. I have never been treated with such disrespect in my entire life. This owner should be ashamed at who is representing them as the face of their property. I am in Waco 4-5 times a year, never ever will I step foot in this Hampton Inn. I suggest you don’t either.

Stay Away - Bud Bugs Avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed here during the eclipse. My wife was bitten multiple times by bed bugs. We let the staff know. Several staff observed the bites. They did move us to another room. It was concerning that the new room appeared that someone had appeared to force entry to it. We did not feel safe. When we complained about the conditions of our stay, the manager said she would adjust our bill. She did not. Despite multiple attempts to contact the hotel, they have ignored us. They don't care about guests. They have an inhabitable environment. They lie to guests. They have ignored our attempts to resolve the situation. I would never stay at this hotel again. Please avoid it at all costs.
