Do not recommend at all/ Total dissappointment Total disappointment. First of all , before we arrived i sent them an email asking if late check out was possible and they arranged a late check out until 2pm. I have also sent a mail about restaurant reservations but had no reply back. When we arrived at the hotel, most of the staff are very rude starting from the front desk. It seems like they are not happy to work there. Our biggest dissappointment was at breakfast. It was a buffet and the staff serving us named Gemia was so rude and sullen that at one point i asked her what was her problem and she replied , i m doing my job. We are staying at that hotel and paying like 1500usd a night to feel good and relaxed not to be disrecpected by a rude staff. We then complained about her to Ali, the manager and i told her , they shouldn’t keep staff like her who don’t want to work , if someone doesnt want to work just fire her. Ali said that she would have a talk with her. Ali was kind and helpfull. We then headed out to the beach and they said they have a limited number of shades. I asked if it was because of covid but he said “ no not because of covid, most of the shades were broken or torn and they couldnt buy new ones _. İ was super dissappointed by this hotel and do nor recommend it at all

Not enough chairs and no shade at pool and beach There are not enough chairs and not enough umbrellas. All are reserved by other guests laying towels on the chairs by 7am. If you do happen to get a chair with an umbrella, only half of a single chair will ever be shady because the umbrellas are small. We have an 8 month old baby so we planned on spending all 8 days going from breakfast to the pool, to lunch, and to the beach or pool without leaving the property. The Fairmont does not make that easy. So one day, we walked 30 minutes to have lunch at the Andaz...their pool had plenty of chairs with shade so we decided to spend the day there instead. We've also stayed next door at the Four Seasons a few years ago and they will literally run to put a chair and umbrella wherever you want. The Fairmont is obviously not on the same level of luxury and price as the Four Seasons but it should only be a level down. To management: buy umbrellas (even more of the same small ones that you have and put them close enough to basically provide shade throughout the day as the sun moves). And the pool and beach staff are too overwhelmed to provide quality service. Ask them how to improve because I provided this feedback to the concierge and the front desk and both said they have not head this kind of feedback (which I find impossible to believe). If you follow the pool attendant around, you'll hear that it's all your guests can talk about. At $1.5k a night, you expect more. Other cons: - Pool side service takes forever because they're very understaffed. We ordered drunks but server could never fit water on their tray. - Rooms are dated - not bad just nothing special or luxurious - Bring your own portable crib if traveling with a child - crib was scary looking and their portable crib mattress was literally pieces of thin wood covered with plastic Pros: - Beautiful property, especially the lobby - Helpful concierge - Staff at breakfast and lobby bar are awesome - Shuttle staff were nice and very fast

Fairmont, Wailea July 2021 Wailea is a resort town-think go to resort and mostly stay there. If that’s your gig, Fairmont is as good as any of them. Service was fantastic at all aspects. Villa was fantastic - first row with ocean views would have been better. Ko, AMA, market store (underrated) all great options. Didn’t get into Nicks but probably saved myself $500! Nice attention to detail through out!

Amazing property with the best service We booked a week stay at the Fairmont after a long wait from COVID to get married. We were impressed from the time we entered the property. The views of the ocean as soon as you walked in were amazing. Our room was updated, clean, comfortable, and had great views of the ocean and pool. Sunsets were amazing to watch from the balcony. I know the staff were dealing with a surge of travelers but they did not show it. I was thoroughly impressed with the high level of customer service and white glove treatment from the bellman, front desk, room service, cleaning staff, and all others we encountered. This trip was worth every bit of what we paid and the memories we experienced at this resort will last a lifetime. We will definitely be visiting this resort again. Mahalo!

Good Spot for Families While busy, it was not as bad as I expected and hotel was working very hard to make it as enjoyable as possible. This is a great hotel for families with tons of food options, quick room service and several local lessons/events each day to teach about Hawaiian culture. Kids club was still closed so we weren't able to experience that but overall, we were very happy with the experience at a large, busy hotel during the height of the travel season. Lots of food options, a good market and a lovely spa as well. As a mom with two kids, I appreciated the complimentary washer/dryer on our floor. Staff was so lovely and helpful.
