Waterton Park Hotel

Murder mystery with overnight stay I had the murder mystery and over night stay booked for me for my 50th birthday. We were greeted by Patsy on reception who was a friendly face giving a lovely welcoming first impression of the hotel, she very professional and told us all information we needed for check in and our stay. Our room in the new building was lovely and spacious, clean and comfortable. I had a very peaceful night's sleep. The murder mystery event itself was well organised and really enjoyable, I didn't guess whodunit but had a great time trying. Bar staff and waiting staff were polite, friendly and super efficient. The 3 course meal was superb. Breakfast in the grand cafe the next morning was lovely, staff were helpful and attentive. I look forward to staying again soon.

A relaxing stay in a beautiful setting We had a fantastic time at The Waterton hotel We stayed on island and enjoyed the view and four poster bed,the setting was beautiful,the Twilight spa experience was very relaxing. We particularly enjoyed the history of Waterton as the worlds first nature reserve and a fascinating and beautiful 5 mile walk to Anglers reserve and Haw park wood And proximity to Yorkshire Sculpture Park Staff were all very helpful and friendly and would like to thank hotel for the Anniversary card and chocolate which was gifted to us on arrival to room which was a kind gesture Only negatives would be the tired and disjointed decor seems a wasted opportunity to make this hotel truly fabulous which seems a pity as the Hall is magnificent architecturally and begging for an injection of Georgian style splendour In my view the restaurant ,though a great space for breakfast did lack atmosphere for an evening meal, though our food of two steaks was extremely well cooked and my partner was very well looked after as a coeliac by waiting staff and chef I also appreciated my perfect soft boiled eggs at breakfast Positives and beauty of the place far outweigh any negatives

In serious need of maintenance Gents changing room in serious need of maintenance. Two showers out of action, several locker locks missing or not working and one door missing. This is supposed to be a high class spa facility? We expected better than this for the prices charged

Great murder mystery night We attended the Murder Mystery evening but we didn’t stay overnight, as we live locally. Just like the hotel and the staff. Everything went really well from the welcome drinks, lovely meal and of course the murder event. Definitely will do another

Great Murder mystery night and fab hotel. I’d never heard of Waterton Hotel until looking for a murder mystery night for my wife (birthday present). I’m so glad I found it. The hotel is a gem and quite unique. Wonderful staff who are incredibly helpful and friendly. The Murder Mystery night was great fun. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Although you don’t have to, we stayed overnight and took advantage of the spa the next day to make a weekend of it. Altogether a fantastic weekend and a very happy wife _
