Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waller - Prairie View, an IHG Hotel

No regrets Breakfast was great it was hot and they had a great selection. My room was clean and they provided me with all the extras I requested right away. Such a great place to stay and I loved how quiet it is. Everyone is so nice and the service is great. The location seems pretty safe. No regrets, I would for sure stay here again.

Expect Much Better from Holiday Inn Express Room layout and rates were fine, but conditions and quality leave a lot to be desired. The pool was a mess, full of leaves, dirt on the bottom, no circulation, and probably no chlorine. Out of order signs on card reader into hotel from pool and on equipment in the business center. Breakfast was not well attended to (ran out of coffee and I had to bring it to their attention even though it wasn't busy), and poor quality food for what one expects from IHG. Trademark cinnamon rolls (one of my favorites) must have been reheated day-olds, because they were dried out and inedible. Typically, the breakfast area works well as a gathering area for a family meal or visits, but it was closed off with a floor sign except for breakfast time. We were in a suite with lots of drawers and cupboards, but nothing in them at all. Nice sized bathroom, but not enough towels for 2 adults and 2 children. I had forgotten my razor, so I had to request one. It was politely provided with the shrug that the shaving cream packet seemed inadequate, but "see what you can do". It was dried out crumbs and barely revivable for a shave. This property is in serious need of a makeover and maintenance, and is probably overdue for an audit because I would have pulled their flag. The help, though it seemed understaffed, were polite- that's why it isn't just a one star rating.

The best hotel in Waller, TX The rooms were amazing and clean. They cleaned my room really good and made it smell so clean and fresh. The crew was very respectful. The hotel is pet friendly. The breakfast is the best part and the management is excellent. I am 100% satisfied.

DIDN'T EXPECT THIS - Several months ago I scheduled a room for 3-nights at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waller, Prairie View, hotel (via Expedia) to Celebrate my Birthday with Family and Friends. Received the Confirmation paper-work, etc., and all is fine. We have never stayed at this particular Holiday Inn before but have so many times at the same name-Hotel in the Spring-Woodlands area and Loved it every time - and they have the Best Breakfast of all the Hotels. Well, the night before we were to leave for our trip, I received a phone call from, supposedly, the hotel I booked at. The Lady that called asked me to pay for the Hotel Room in advance and requested my Credit Card Number. I have 'NEVER' been asked this before from any Hotel we ever stayed at. I thought it might be one of those Scam calls so I stated 'No', I do not give my credit card number to anyone over the phone. She asked again and I stated the same and informed her that we will be leaving in the morning and we are planning on being there by 3pm, the regular 'Check-In' time. She then stated for me to call her back and hung up the phone. This kind of got to me but I did figure it was some kind of scam. We took off the next morning and arrived at the Hotel just before 3pm to check-in. The lady at the reception desk greeted me and I provided my paper work for the 3-Night stay, my ID and had my Credit Card ready. She pulled up the information and stated that she doesn't have this listed and that it appears to be 'Cancelled' as of yesterday. I informed her that I do not know why it was cancelled and that this is the paper work I printed off showing my reservations. She then stated that she cannot re-new my room but can re-book it for the 3-Nights. She did her thing on the computer and booked my room for my Wife and I - and it was $30.00 less than what I scheduled on-line a few months back. This was great and we stayed for the 3-Nights. Okay, I don't know what actually happened, but someone associated with this 'Hotel' actually called me the night before and tried to get me to pay in advance, I didn't and they 'Cancelled' my reservations. This is 'Totally Wrong' and my Wife and I will "NEVER" stay at this particular Hotel again. When I booked the room it stated that I could pay for my room upon arrival - just like it always had in the past. Is this the 'Norm' for Holiday Inn Express & Suites or is it just this Hotel. Next time we book anyway I am going to ask them directly if they require payment in advance - if so, we are OUT. Not Gonna Happen. We always get the 'Cancel the day before' when booking anywhere because you never know what might happen. All this aside, this Hotel is Beautiful and the Breakfast was just what we expected - some really good eats (5-Stars). Our room was nice and quiet but the bathroom needs to be updated. The Staff was Excellent everywhere (5-Stars). But "0-Stars" for calling the day before and requesting payment.

Pleasant stay - nice and clean hotel Kids liked the hotel and rooms are spacious for a family to stay in double queen bed. The pool is great. very clean and quiet. We had great time, the staffs at the hotel are the best. Top notch service at a very reasonable rate!
