The scoop for august 2024 Yes it is under renovation. So you will see some construction blocked off with tarps which happens when you are renovating. Gym was open and well-appointed, the entrance is moved to the back so follow signs. If staying on 2nd floor it is a bit of a trip to the elevator but at least you don’t have to climb the stairs. Shuttle service on demand to the airport. Front desk was fine. I encountered only courtesy. No pools no hot tubs. No restaurant in the hotel but there is one nearby. I suggest you eat first as there is no breakfast available except a glass case at front desk where you can buy what y might need. We had a suite and had a fridge and microwave. Ice and vending were working. Inside our room was great. Nice shower. Comfortable bed. No view but who cares we just spent the night bc we had an early flight. Parking was free and had plenty of spaces on a sat afternoon. We found it quiet but then we had the window air unit on all night bc it was quite a hot time of year.

Undergoing Major Renovation I was dropping my sister-in-law off at this Radisson for an early morning plane out of Providence the next morning. As we approached, all the signage and driveways for the hotel were blocked off by fences, and it was something of a mystery how to approach the hotel via a parking lot in the rear and poorly marked paths to rear doors. The entire hotel has been torn apart for major reconstruction, repainting, and, one hopes, serious upgrades. This explains why the price is so low. My sister-in-law's room was basic-basic, but viable for a one-night stay if you could get past the smell of new paint.

What ever you do, avoid this hotel The hotel is a mess from the parking lot to the inside. The night front desk clerk - who is also there in the morning around 5:30 am - he is the rudest, most unfriendly, threatening, disgruntled and worst person we have ever encountered at any hotel or motel. He should be fired asap.

Horrified Bride & Groom Booked a wedding block for the Raddison in Warwick in January 2024. You think it may have been mentioned the place would be under construction by May, that guests would have to walk through open construction sites just to get to the lobby, guests are not allowed to park in the hotel parking lot, and are still paying the regular Memorial Day rate. On top of it all, we were offered to rent the event space for our rehearsal dinner—thank God and all things good that we didn’t, since there was no event space. We booked under the impression there was a bar, restaurant, and patio area where guests of our wedding would be able to gather. Then, after complaining about the atrocious conditions, we were promised breakfast both weekend mornings—it was there for my guests Saturday morning, but not Sunday—the actual day of the wedding. The woman behind the counter was rude, and clearly didn’t know how key cards work, as she blamed my entire wedding block for our cards suddenly no longer working—-she put all of my guests in as one night, but continued to avoid apologizing or taking responsibility by blaming ALL of my guests for having their cards too close to their phones….THEN, the same woman had the gall to tell my guests that I was fully aware of the renovations: I obviously was not. Absolutely audacious of this hotel and its employees. I’m shocked, embarrassed and devastated that I invited my friends and family for a mainly out-of-state guest list to stay here. Will never be choosing this hotel ever again.

Traumatic rudeness This is the absolute worst experience that I have ever had at a hotel. I was so astounded by the rudeness of the people behind the desk that at first I thought that I must not being hearing property. By the time I was done with my conversation, I was shaking. Back in my room, I booked a room at another hotel for the remaining nights of our stay. Clearly, I will never stay at this hotel again. Unless unavoidable, I will also never again stay at a Choice Hotel. We used to visit Providence more frequently, and often stayed at this hotel. It used to be associated with the top quality Johnson & Wales hotel and restaurant school. While inexperienced, the student hotel staff was always incredibly friendly and attentive. Now it’s the polar opposite. (Note, the person behind the morning was very pleasant. But the damage was done.)
