The Westin Washington It's a good hotel but the parking rates are atrocious (as they are generally in DC). We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and chose it again because of its location. It's in the city center and close to the Mall, about 15 minutes of a nice walk. And it's what you should expect from a Westin, nice room, good service, efficient staff.

Disappointing stay My family and I stayed at this hotel as we were dropping our daughter off to college. The room was basic but hey...however the bathroom was dirty and had mold in the shower area. We requested for our room to be cleaned but was told that due to COVID-19 the cleaners do not clean the rooms until checkout. This is quite disappointing because we are over a year into the pandemic and many hotels have found safe and effective methods for cleaning guests rooms. The parking is an arm and a leg at 68 a night. Throughout my entire stay I did not get a single night of good sleep because the bed felt like I was sleeping on concrete. I am so thankful to be home in the comfort of my own bed. The only plus to this stay was Cathy at the bar as she was delightful.

Pick another hotel We checked in and checked out within 3 hours. Let me start by saying this hotel is in need of an update/remodel. Our room had a spot where the full length mirror once hung but at some point had fallen and it was not replaced. Just old looking and dated. If you are staying here Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday do NOT plan on enjoying any sort of beverage or food onsite. We decided to grab a drink at the hotel bar (that clearly states it is open on the website) only to be told that it’s only open Thursday-Sunday. Okay……and there are no other options open on property. There was also a man in the lobby that was asleep/passed out in the chair when we checked in….when we checked out a few hours later he had moved to the a table in the atrium….still passed out. We pointed this out to the front desk agent as we left It’s not busy…more like a morgue so not sure why they were so surprised when we told them about him. We moved down the street to the Courtyard. If you have a pulse, you’ll avoid this place a d pick another hotel.

The Westin Convenience My new wife and I chose this hotel because of its convenience to all the monuments and proximity to downtown. The hotel is situated in a perfect location that allowed us to walk for dining, quick grabs from CVS and Black Lives Matter Plaza. The White House is just a few blocks away! The staff were one of the best perks of our stay at the Westin. Kent greeted us upon our arrival and served as the area expert over the next few days. He was excellent at offering hot spots and great dining options. Two thumbs way up to Kent!! The hotel grounds are what I’d expect from the Westin brand since I stayed at Westin Kansas City just 3 weeks prior. It’s a clean property with modern decor. While the restaurant and bar was not open due to Covid restrictions, that didn’t bother me much since Kent had many alternatives available that were within walking distance. If we couldn’t actually walk to a location, there were the bike and scooter rentals available at just a couple of dollars so we had a great experience during our stay at Westin Washington DC central!

Mrs. Estela Marie Sunga - Professional Management Service . Excellent Customer Service Thank you to the Westin Hotel for your outstanding customer service. My experience was pleasant and well received. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with a professional and positive "check-in" by Mrs. Estela Sunga and her colleagues. The courtesy and accommodations were greatly appreciated after a long flight from Southern California. My two day stay was pleasant and exceptional. I will return to the Westin at City Center for my additional business meetings. Thank you! Best regards, Greg Cervantes, President The Native Generations Group, LLC
