Worst hotel experience in over 30 years! Upon checking in the desk staff was slow and the people ahead of me were even joking about it. I needed to be quick but the process was ridiculous and nothing I had experienced elsewhere. I got charged a hold fee on my credit card which I was not charged at any of the other 3 hotels I have stayed at in the Wausau area. I requested a refund this morning for my second hotel night as it was the worst I have ever experienced and not as described, but was told they couldn't do that. I broke my foot and could not get up the stairs to my house so I needed somewhere to stay as the places I had stayed at were booked for this weekend. The room was like a jail cell: my daughter cried when dropping me off because she didn't want to leave me there but she had to go to her dad's. I was allergic to the room so apparently dogs had been in there and it hadn't been cleaned properly. I couldn't breathe and didn't have medication with me because I wasn't aware I'd be around pets directly. The hallways and room smelled. The window was covered in a film and cobwebs so I couldn't get natural light. There were dogs barking all night and the walls were so thin that it was like there were 20 people in my room until 4:55 am! I fell asleep at 5:00 am and was woken by dogs barking in the hall and people yelling at them at 6 am. I need sleep to heal, need to be able to breathe and had to call someone this morning to pick me up to get out of there. I will fight for a refund on my second night for sure and would appreciate the first night as well that was horrifyingly not a good stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Surprised they stay in business. The desk help is of no help. I paid half of that for wonderful rooms elsewhere in Wausau. Go anywhere else!! .

Great for the price Updated and clean. Friendly staff. Located clise to downtown. Fully stocked woth essentials. Price was reasonable. Breakfast was good, pool is small but nice. Exercise room was well equipped. Didn't get Fox News on the TV is my only complaint

Dishonest Service Reservation was not accurate even after confirming we needed first floor rooms due to medical reason. They were notified by email to confirm our request so other arrangements could be made if they could not. Even received an email stating that they would.

Upgraded - and more like 3 stars than 2 WOW! This place has had an upgrade. Been a while since I was here and the newly remodeled rooms are fabulous. They removed the carpeting (hard to keep clean when you have so much mud and snow in the area) and put down a wood-grain appearing flooring that is not slippery and easy to clean. Brand new towels, nice amenities and a good hot breakfast for half the price my normal IHG place wanted. Didn’t get in the pool this time, but will bring a suit the next one.

Easy Stay for Granite Peak Trip We had a great time, the hotel was close to the hill. Pool open 24-hours. Did not go in though, hot tub looked small. Good coffee, didn't have the breakfast. Our dog liked it, too. For sure would stay again, easy and convenient.
