Very nice remodeled room at very good price! Right off the Turnpike this older motel has been remodeled rooms with news beds, TV's and air conditioners. Freshly painted with new flooring too. It is far enough off the road to be quiet place to sleep. The room was a touch small in size, but with a great bed and plenty of hot water in the shower, what more could you ask for at their low rates! The manager was extremely friendly and helpful at check-in. She took lots of time to tell me about several good places to eat in the area.

A work in progress We stayed here on our Big 2019 Road Trip. We booked in advance through an online service, but then found out we could have saved over $10 by going directly to the motel. When we stayed, only one wing was open. Our room had two small bedrooms, but incomplete furnishings in each (had to rearrange night stands). A bit snug with the beds and other items, and no table (had to work using a bed as a table). Biggest issue is that in the room we had, the sink in the classic-tile bathroom partially blocks the shower entry. A normal-size person has to contort a bit to get into the shower, but a larger person may not be able to shower at all. The staff said other rooms wouldn't have that issue, but at the time they were under refurbishment. No ice or breakfast, but there's an excellent diner across the street. Parking is directly at the room (classic motel style) and very convenient. With more open rooms, some more work, appropriate furnishings for the room size (and a warning about the sink/shower issue when reserving online), this could be a very good place - time will tell as the remodeling continues.

Basic room but clean and quiet We stopped here for one night as we we're passing through. It was very quiet, the bed was pretty comfortable, it was ok clean. We needed heat and it worked, TV worked fine. Overall, it was a basic room but nothing really wrong with it and the price was good. One suggestion, if you supply a coffee maker, it might be nice to have some kind of cup to drink the coffee from!

Blast from the past, Part 2 Don't let the naysayers push you away. This is a throwback to the days when there was no A/C in your parents' car and you were excited to stay in a motel. The owners are, in fact, friendly, but you've got to engage with them and chit-chat. The place is clean. And the Blue Ribbon Diner across the street is out of a Twilight Zone episode. I recommend highly, if you want a real Ohio Turnpike experience.

Blast from the past Chain hotels were all booked up because of a youth baseball tournament, so we took our chances on this 1950's-like motel. It was fine, even good. Certainly full of charm. Clean, small, but adequate rooms. Owner is a hoot to chat with. Great value. Solid shower. If you want no frills, this is the place. But it's safe, good cable, excellent wi-fi. Near the Turnpike. What else do you need for a quick night's stay?
