Medium place to stay Our room was nice and clean. We enjoyed having a suite with a sofa and refrigerator. Bathroom was clean. The main entrance to the hotel (outside) was littered with trash, and several walls in the main area and lower hallway were grimy. There were no snacks available in the lobby, but there was a vending machine. The most disappointing thing was that the pool was “down for the next couple of weeks”. Looking at it, it looks clean and ready to go, but it’s closed. I was counting on the pool to help entertain my kids while we stayed here. The Okeefenokee Swamp Park was fun though, which was why we came.

Wouldn’t come again There isn’t much to choose from when you visit a town like Waycross. My mom’s family is from the area, however, so we had higher expectations than what we encountered. I don’t like taking gross pictures so I’ll just say: pool and hot tub that were advertised were closed with no previous notice (and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel), hair found in sofa bed along with hair ties, hair on our beds, no bedding for the sofa bed, under the sofa bed and as you pulled it out - absolutely filthy (trash, cereal, pennies etc.). Sign in bathroom tells you how much each item (from wash cloth to iron & ironing board) cost in case you take one so you know you’ll be charged for it. This is troubling because if I’m not trusted why should I trust that an employee would not take a towel and charge me for it? It goes both ways. Room was larger than expected. Front desk attendant was nice. Hotel is conveniently located. All in all, $100 may not be a lot of money but it should at least pay for cleanliness.

Total Disaster at Comfort Inn Waycross, GA I arrived at your hotel late on 7/29/23. There were no light bulbs in my lamps. The next morning I told the receptionist I had no lightbulbs and that the commode ran constantly. That evening I arrived back late and the keys to my room would not work. I had to go back downstairs and have my cards re-keyed. They did not work the 2nd time and I had to go down again. She said she had no idea what was causing this. When I returned to my room, after making 2 trips down, I had no light bulbs and the commode was still running. Both phones were unplugged and It took using my phone flashlight to finally get them plugged in with all the dust and lint flying around. First phone would not work. I had to let the 2nd phone ring a long time before the receptionist finally answered. She told me at first she was the only one there and could not bring me any lightbulbs. I told her I could not function in the dark and she finally agreed. After waiting for 15 minutes and she had not come, I went downstairs to find her sitting and on her phone. She gave me no explanation, I said I'm from 406 and I need lightbulbs, a hair dryer (there was not one in the room), and a coffee pot that works. She looked in one drawer at the front desk and said I am sorry, you will have to wait till morning, there is nothing I can do. I ask her to please just go into another room and get me some lightbulbs, hairdryer, and a part for my coffee pot. She said I am not allowed to enter a room, there is nothing I can do. She was very unconcerned. I finally asked her for another room and she reluctantly agreed I could move to room 404. She asked to see my room card and gave me 2 keys to room 404 and my card back. When I got back upstair none of the keys would work to either room, and I had to go back downstairs. The next trip up they both worked and I entered room 404 and removed lightbulbs, hairdryer, and missing part of my coffee pot. I called front desk and after a very lengthly ring she finally answered and I told her what I had done. By the way, I am 82 years old, and I was in Waycross because of a sudden death in Blackshear and I had no time to make other accommodations after I realized what poor service your hotel provided.you. I am a longtime customer, but I have never been so disappointed in my life with your hotel in Waycross, GA. C Rome, GA

Discount promised not given by Comfort Suites We booked through Expedia with a nonrefundable booking. Upon arrival we were told the cable was out so no TV. We asked for a discount and were told to talk to the front desk in the morning. Indeed no cable or other kind of TV, so early to bed.Front desk in morning said discount would need to be given through Expedia. When we contacted Expedia, Comfort Suites would not honor the discount request. Expedia did give us a coupon for future booking. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is worn. Lobby furniture is tired and sagging. Our bathroom had lots of patching and no repainting. Looked like water damage. Room was adequately clean. Breakfast was fine.

Nice staff hotel needs some TLC and odd location behind tobacco shop The staff was great, and the breakfast was standard about like Hampton Inn. The downside, half of lighting was burned out in the room manly bathroom, I did ask staff about it and they said they were out of light bulbs. The room was super damp, and any metal surface had some rust on it from lamps, door frame, bathroom, the tub had rusted spot and some odd stains. Also, The TV remote in my room did not have source button and back was missing on it. The TV in room was on HDMI but remote was cheap universal remote with no source button. I had to call front desk about this as well. Turn out the front desk has a remote to change it to cable TV. I have never seen a hotel that I had to have staff come to the room to change tv from HDMI to coax port. The location is also very odd it behind a vape shop and there is no good way to get to it except though another property. The staff was very nice, but I will be staying some were else next time.
