Satisfactory for our needs First and foremost the staff was wonderful. Friendly, inviting and helpful. The housekeeping staff for our room was excellent! We were in town for a week for an event for my son and it worked for a great home base. We had a suite room, it was a little small but the kitchen was extremely helpful. Beds were comfortable Downsides: our fridge in the room was pretty loud however, it was very clean. Also the breakfast was just ok, we ended up not eating there very much and the floor in the breakfast area, especially near the soda machine was always sticky - no matter the time of day. Also, we had a room with 2 double beds and a sitting area/kitchen in a separate room very helpful but there was maybe 18" to get between the bed and the bathroom door. This was not a problem for us but maybe a problem for travelers with mobility issues. The pool area was very nice, the pool was a little foggy but clean.

Need improvement Pros: Good size rooms. Friendly staff. Good restaurants nearby if you have a car. Cons: Rooms are not very clean. We could smell that a dog had been there. Musty smell. Carpet needs to be clean. Breakfast area: tables almost always dirty. Need to look around for a clean table or clean ourselves after guests vacate. Breakfast is the same everyday. Breads, oranges, oatmeal, muffins. Outdated fridge without a freezer. If you are here for several days plan to eat out most everyday. No small sink near the microwave/fridge area as in other Springhill locations. We stayed at other Springhill’s in the area that are much better. Would not recommend. Sorry.

Impressive This was my first time at this hotel.. I accidentally booked the room for the wrong date, and the lovely woman working overnight at the front desk was extremely helpful in finding me a good rate so that I could go ahead and book the correct night, as well (I had a prepaid reservation that she was unable to move on her end, as I had booked through a third party). She was easygoing yet professional, friendly but also worked quickly and efficiently. The rooms are unique and designed in such a way that they feel more spacious than they are. Bed was comfortable. Very easy to fall asleep. Plenty of TV channels. Toilet and shower area are separate, which is great, especially if you’re traveling with someone who likes to take their time getting ready. There are a few businesses within walking distance, but if you really need to do anything, you’re better off driving or getting an Uber/Lyft. Breakfast is definitely a step up from most hotels since the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s grab and go, but they offer a hot sandwich you can also choose from. Very quiet, did not hear a peep from any other guests, despite the parking lot being about 70% full. If the time comes where Springhill Suites is one of my options to room at vs most other hotels, I will more than likely choose Springhill Suites. There’s excellent rates all over the internet for this place, so there’s no excuse to really pass this place up.

Not for the handicapped! We evacuated to Houston because of Hurricane Delta. Our two daughters and their families are here with us in two hotel rooms on the 5th floor. We lost power a good part of last night for no apparent reason. The power went out again around 2:00 p.m. I am handicapped and walk with a cane or in a wheelchair. I left the hotel today one stair at a time, because the elevator was out. We were told power would be restored around 6:00 p.m. When we returned to the hotel around 9:30, the power was still out. I had to literally pull myself up five flights of stairs in total darkness to get back to my room, because there is no safety lighting of any kind in the stairwell or halls. The desk clerk offered to just have us check out and leave. Not a good solution with all our things in the 5th floor rooms and all area hotels full of evacuees. We are very disappointed in this Springhill for the inconvenience, but mostly because of their total disregard for safety. Won’t stay here again.
