Meh . . . I was pretty psyched to stay here based on previous Marriott visits and the pictures, but we were underwhelmed. The tub had numerous rust stains on it, and there were spots on the wallpaper in the bedroom. There were no towels in our room upon arrival, and they are still not doing full housekeeping. That means our trash can was never taken out and we had to call for towels and supplies every day. Really? Most hotels are back in almost full-swing with housekeeping. The breakfast bar had the bare minimum of items - only 2 hot things, and very limited other choices, but no toaster or waffle makers. Plus they ran out of eggs each day and it wasn't even 7:30, so we had to wait for new batches. Poor planning, right? The staff members were not outright rude, but they seemed annoyed when we asked questions. It was not horrible, but it just didn't live up to expectations and especially not when we paid such a high amount for the rooms.

DO NOT STAY HERE First time staying at this property - I was not familiar with the area. I like the Marriott brand and the photos on the website looked nice. We booked based on the fact that the hotel was supposed to include a hot breakfast with the room. Pay very close attention to the hotel's many breakfast photos under Dining on their website - you will NOT get that breakfast. The breakfast that they actually serve is nowhere on their website. My reservation was for a standard room with a king size bed. I did call ahead and ask for a higher floor with a view if there was one available; if there was not, it was not a problem. They said that would not be a problem at all to accommodate my request. No mention was mention of extra upgrade fees. We arrived a bit before the official checkin time - again, I had called ahead and they said we could check in an hour or so ahead of checkin time. When I was checking in, I asked what time the breakfast was served. It was then I told that it was a grab-and-go breakfast due to Covid-19 which would be a plastic-wrapped muffin and a juice box (yes, a kid-size juice box). I was reading a review dated in October 2020 (our stay was in Sept. 2020). Their grab-and-go breakfast included yogurt and a mushy too-ripe banana- ours did not even include those items. Regardless, it was not a proper substitute for the hot breakfast advertised on their website. We are 6 months into Covid-19 at this point - those photos need to be removed. It's false marketing. I would not have stayed there had I known no hot breakfast was being served. We were given keys to our room and our room overlooked the freeway (fairly close). This property is next to the freeway and many of the rooms are on that side; they ignored the room request in my record. I immediately called the front desk and asked if there was another room available. Within 5 minutes, she came to the room with keys to a room just across the hall. The room was exactly the same - king bed. However, the room smelled of strong cigarette smoke - obviously prior guests had not heeded the no-smoking requirements. I told my daughter that I was not going to move again - that the hotel was awful. After filing formal written complaints with Marriott later in September after we checked out, they exhibited poor customer service and really didn't seem to care about the complaints at all. I'll never stay at a Marriott again. Marriott Corporate Customer Service does not care either - they defer to the individual property. After first contacting Marriott with a complaint, I had to contact them again twice and finally heard from them almost a full month later about these issues. The General Manager Ambur Jensen responded by first claiming I was in the first room "a couple hours". Apparently her staff lies to her - I was in the first room 5 minutes with unpacked luggage. Then she claimed the room across the hall I was secondly put in was an upgraded "Mountain View" room - there wasn't even a view of a hill in that room. I saw another hotel next door and a parking lot out my window. Thirdly, she claimed that I should have notified them of the smoke smell to resolve the issue. There is no way Housekeeping did not notice that smell - anyone with a nose would have noticed that odor. That room should have been blocked off until it had been properly deodorized. Customer Service is not taken seriously at this property. Terrible GM!

Just OK! We spent two nights at this hotel. The hotel lobby and dining area was closed off due to the pandemic. As such, they offered To Go breakfasts bags in the morning. While I realize the occupancy was most likely very low - there were no choices. Both mornings it was a small juice box, yogurt, muffin and a banana already placed in a bag. I understand all this BUT both mornings - the bananas were way too ripe bordering on mush. The rooms were very clean - absolutely no issues here. The front desk was very efficient and helpful!

safe during corona virus This hotel is taking the pandemic seriously. The room was very clean. I never saw any staff without a mask (although some customers didn't wear them). Hand santizier available by every elevator. We rented a king suite with a mountain view (which had a queen-sized bed in it). The bed was comfortable, as was the layout of the suite. The kitchenette was handy, although it was only stocked with a couple of paper plates and wrapped plastic silverware. Bring everything else you might need for using it . The free internet seemed slow. There is an option to get faster if you pay for it. The staff was always efficient, helpful and courteous.
