Huge rooms, very clean, very quiet well located hotel in residential area of North White Plains. We visited to get out of the city for a Fall Foliage weekend and chose this hotel because we did not want to rent a car in the city, and North White Plains is one of the only Metro-North Stations in NY State with a rental car agency right next to a railroad station. (Hertz, 66 Haarlem Ave.) We were also using a Marriott Bonvoy free night certificate for the first night so this hotel made sense to us. Check-in was both Covid protocol safe and efficient, Front desk agent Goldie was fantastic; friendly, knowledgeable, and quick! We were provided with two Covid sanitizing kits with hand spray and cleaning wipes. Our room, a Corner Suite, was much larger than our NYC apartment and had a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and separate bedroom. It looks to have been updated in the last couple of years and was pleasant and well maintained. TVs include internet TV so you have free access to Netflix, HBO, etc. I only saw another guest in the hotel once, and only heard a door close once. Our room was otherwise completely silent when needed for rest. Multiple restaurants that deliver to the hotel had their menus for the taking, and there are several others within walking distance. The other reason we chose this hotel is that it shared the property with the acclaimed Aberdeen Seafood Restaurant which we have visited a few times before. Although closed for indoor dining, this famous Dim Sum Chinese restaurant offers pick up between noon and 8 pm. Most dim sum heats up well in a microwave, which our room had, so we split our large order between one night's dinner and the next day's breakfast! See separate review. Parking, which is unavailable on the streets in White Plains is a bit expensive at $18 per night but included in and out privileges. Although the eat-in warm breakfast was suspended, they did offer numerous cold items to grab and go, each individually wrapped for safety. These included bagels and cream cheese, muffins, cereals, yogurt and more.

Excellent staff, but we had a mouse in the room. We stayed here for two weeks. Great location! It is spacious and it was nice to have a little kitchen during covid until Gus the mouse from Cinderella showed up lol The front desk staff is excellent and they were extremely responsive. However, we stayed in in a suite that definitely is tired and quite old. The interior is worn out and needs an upgrade. In addition the bathroom rack glued back on to the wall, we had a mouse. Yes, a mouse. I don't like mice. If it weren't for Gus the mouse, I would rate the hotel three stars/average. Four to five stars for the staff! Staff was extremely responsive, trap put in etc.. but a mouse is a mouse. Also, the parking garage is a very tight squeeze. Oh well... bye bye Gus!

Worst place ever stayed I recently stayed here. Dingy smelly room, rusty cutlery and dusty dishes in the dish washer. Request room change next room smelled worse than the first. Decided to stay in original room, headed to bathroom towel with holes. headed to bed. Found visibly dirty comforter and fitted sheets. Called and requested clean sheets and told I have to come pick them up myself. So I did. These appeared clean however, they had holes in them and the mattress cover was filthy with body fluids when we shifted the bed to place the fitted sheets there was hair and layered dust and to top it off the sheets were EXTREMELY rough. It was so late I stayed the night sitting up. Really horrible experience do not waste your money this place is worse than a motel. Totally unacceptable on all levels but we are also in a pandemic that spreads by touching. __‍♀️

Kudos to Front Desk Staff I want to pass along the following kudos to the front desk staff during my stay at the Residence Inn, White Plains, NY. In particular, the front desk manager (Jessie) demonstrated professionalism and superb customer service during my stay from 13-15 July 2020. Specifically are three separate instances that I observed: 1. When I informed Jessie of a slight cigarette smell in our room, he immediately made arrangements to transfer us to a different room on the same floor thus minimizing the inconvenience to us. No questions asked; just solutions. 2. During a verbal concern expressed from a separate Residence Inn guest, Jessie politely listened to the guest's concern and remained professional even as the guest became agitated with Jessie's explanation of the hotel's procedures. 3. On a second day as I quietly waited for the elevator to arrive in the hotel's lobby, I observed Jessie (with no one else around) stopping to bend down and pickup a small piece of paper trash on the floor. Nobody was around yet he took the effort to pick up the trash. A simple and selfless act that would only matter to him. Again I just wanted to highlight the actions by Jessie so that others can be made aware of his efforts. While the hotel itself shows signs of age and could use some attention, the front desk staff certainly make up for it.

Hospital stay I stayed at this hotel while my wife had back surgery so I could be close by the hospital if she needed anything. The room was nice and was modern. Parking was 18 a day which wasn’t too bad for a city area and was only about 5 min drive from the hospital. The only hiccup I had was the heat/ac system didn’t work . Turns out needed a new thermostat. I asked the night before for it to be fixed during the day while I was gone and it was not. But maintenance came up and took care of it as soon as I asked when I came back for the night. Staff was nice . I cannot rate the free breakfast as I left early every morning. If I had to stay in the area I would stay here again.
