VERY NICE HOTEL In Wichita for a 60th class reunion. Hotel was very accommodating to the group of about 20 with good rates and places for us to sit and chat. Room was exceptionally clean and well appointed. Excellent bed and bedding. Air conditioning easy to adjust which often is not the case in a hotel room.

Will avoid in the future We stayed here for one night as part of a road trip. This is a large hotel. The indoor pool was teeming with kids so I avoided. There is no complimentary breakfast but they do have complimentary coffee. After reading reviews, we opted to find a different place for breakfast. After we checked out and got to our next destination, I realized that I had left my bathing suit in the closet. I called that same day as we checked out and told them. They said they would "write a note". I called back again and was told that no bathing suit showed up. ???? I then emailed the hotel to ask what happened to my bathing suit. No response. This was a very nice bathing suit and I'm sick that it's gone. The housekeeper would have seen it in the closet when she did the clean out for the next guest. Any other time I've left stuff by accident at other hotels, the hotel has responded right away and mailed it to me (I pay shipping of course). To not be able to locate something I left like a bathing suit is really questionable. I know it was dumb of me to leave it there but still, are housekeepers accountable?

Good stay I enjoyed my stay. When I walked in the lobby, the place was hopping. There was an event in one of the main event rooms. Families were everywhere and it was a great environment. Check in was easy and fast. The hallway reminded me of the 1980’s as it was poorly lit and just had the feel of when the hotel was built. When I got in my room, I was impressed. It was nice and clean. All amenities were available in the room. The bed was comfortable and after about 8:30, I didn’t hear any noises that bothered me even though the place was filled up. I was impressed with how much space the room seemed to have. I simply had a great experience.

Stressful Stay Booked a room for myself and two young children for 2 nights in February 2022. Requested a room on the highest floor and extra pillows as guest preferences-received neither. Requested these in advance as I knew we would utilize the sofa bed. Sofa bed had broken wood sticking out of the bottom and the mattress wouldn’t unfold flatly. Day 1- hotel pool was overcrowded and kids were throwing misc items throughout the pool area so you couldn’t even be in the pool room without having to watch your head from things flying around. Told the front desk, they said they would follow up and agreed that wasn’t appropriate, 30 minutes later, still occurring. Day 2- room toilet stopped flushing. Called and visited the front desk, was told maintenance had a lot of rooms to take care of so it would likely be a while. Asked about changing rooms and was told none were available. Emailed the contact email on the IHG app about changing rooms due to not having a bathroom available, still no response as of today. Checked out yesterday. Night 2- dog parking in the room next to ours. Called front desk twice, they said each time they would send maintenance to look into it. Could also hear a man in the room yelling at the dog to shut up. Tried to go back to sleep, woken back up at 11:45 by the dog barking and the man yelling. Called the front desk and asked about moving rooms or if they could please do something about the dog and asked if the dogs were allowed to cause a disturbance, no response about the dog but she said yes they could move me. So myself traveling alone with kids had to pack up all of our belongings and move in the middle of the night. Was told on the phone the room would be on the 8th floor. I said I didn’t think there were rooms available on 8 and she said “there have been plenty of rooms on the 8th floor available this week.” I was told at check in my preference for the top floor could not be accommodated. Had an 8 year old that couldn’t sleep after moving rooms, got to the second room and the remote to the TV didn’t work. Checkout day- was given a $20 credit to the attached restaurant for dine in only. Told the front desk we wouldn’t be able to use that, which I’m assuming was some sort of compensation for having to move rooms in the middle of the night. She said ok, we’ll take that back then. I asked if it was normal to not make the guests with the disruptive animal move rooms versus us. She said no, we usually just move whoever complains. I was exhausted from not getting much sleep either night. The kids and I each felt itchy in both beds, I couldn’t visually identify anything and we don’t have sensitive skin but it’s as enough at times to wake me up. I’m not sure what happened to the hospitality business but being offered nothing after expressing frustration at the stay multiple times by phone and in person at the front desk then even at check out being told I was moved since I was the one complaining. Honestly it just sucked. It was exhausting when it should have been relaxing. Overlooked the bathroom grout looking dirty and the rooms smelling musty as soon as we walked in, didn’t even bother saying anything about those issues. The first room also had some crusty French fries behind the entertainment center. All added up to a serious let down. I’ve read the IHG app and hotel staff for Holiday Inns are basically a dead end for getting any resolution to these issues so if I can save another family from a disappointing experience, I’ll do that.

Wish I could give 6 stars We made this reservation while on road. Had special needs and had to make sure possible. Hard time understanding her but when we got to the front desk they picked out a perfect room. They follow full protocol with masks and sanitizer. Kudos for that. The parking lot well lit and lobby so inviting. Forgot something they have it. The Green Mill restaurant & bar on premises, Yummy. No need to leave once checked in. The room spacious and well lit and plenty of towels. Comfortable seating and bed great. The bathroom lighting wow! Kerig coffee my favorite. Kudos to them for having such high standards
