Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg-Central

Nice visit. Th is was my second stay at this property. My last visit was five years ago and the property definitely has aged a bit, but that is no reason not to stay here. The staff is friendly and the location is great. The breakfast was nice and had plenty of choices. I would recommend to anyone headed down to Williamsburg.

Great stay This hotel is great stay great environment I would recommend to stay :) it’s very clean and I don’t mind stay here again not many options for dinning and great for kids to swim the front desk was very friendly and I forgot my personal item for check out they would call you and come back and get it

Not Bad but Not Great, Either. Decent and Clean. Your Basic Hotel. Pros and Cons: Pros - - Two pools, one indoor and one outdoor. Both are clean and tidy and have lots of towels. - Room was clean, fresh, and had lots of towels and extra pillows/blankets in the closet. - Free breakfast. - Free well-appointed coffee bar 24/7. - Small but nice gym with a lot of stuff, very clean. - Snack bar 24/7 with decent selection including some microwave meals. - Great location - about 5 minutes from Williamsburg Colonial Market, William & Mary, just everything. - Clean lobby with multiple luggage carts. - Pretty landscaping. - Comfy beds - fairly firm mattress and soft pillows. - Inexpensive for the area. - Super nice lobby staff. When I checked in the girl went out of her way to find my Hilton account to get my points applied for the stay. - A billion channels on the room TV. Cons: - No fridge or microwave in the room. We keep a cooler in the car and just kept ice in it, but I kind of expect a mini fridge in any Hilton hotel room. There is a microwave in the lobby for guest use. - After 3 days our room had not been cleaned at all. We went to the front desk to ask for more toilet paper and were told we were supposed to have asked if we wanted service. I have never heard of this at a Hilton before. We were told to put our trash in the hall and they’d come get it. They didn’t. - No restaurant of any kind on site or in the parking lot. - The hot tub. Ew. I love a good hot tub, but the hot tub was urine yellow and stunk of something not okay. Day three, and it has not changed. We tried to not even look at it on the way to the pools. Overall, I would stay here again, but honestly would probably look around for somewhere with a mini fridge and daily cleaning. But on the other hand - it wasn’t a big deal, and the pros outweigh the cons. -

Not your usual Hampton inn The room was ok except there was no fridge or microwave. Every Hampton Inn we have stayed in has those things in it. We asked when we were leaving why these things weren’t in there, the answer was you have to order them and they will bring them to your room. The king rooms have them but the other rooms do not. The breakfast bar needs to be rearranged. The plates and plastic ware were in a corner between the food. You had to step in front of someone to get them. The room wasn’t big enough to accommodate so many people. We won’t be staying at this particular hotel again.

Underwhelmed - there are better places to stay Furniture , drapes and carpet seem original to its 2009 build. Hallway carpets have been refreshed. Although clean - very dated! If you want a smoking room they have them. If you book a smoking room by accident be prepared to battle for a non-smoking room. There are other properties in the area at the same pricepoint and better! Not sure why the ratings on this website seem so favorable for this hotel.
