A Wonderful Modern Minimalist Stay!!! We almost canceled this reservation before we even arrived. I was looking at some reviews, and thought we might be better off staying at one of the 2 hotels in Winchester that we have stayed at previously. In the end...we decided to just go with Spark, and if it didn't seem to be working for us we would cancel upon arrival. From the second that we walked in, we were very, very happy with our stay. The lobby is welcoming and bright. Terrific rocking chairs to relax. The color scheme is reminiscent of the Tru Brand. Lara at the front desk was bubbly, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Gary has been with this building for a long time, and knows a lot about the fine details of running a hotel. Our room 412 was huge. There were 2 sections, and the section other than the bed had a couch. The room was spotlessly clean. It had very efficient use of space. There are tables that extend and fold out, and many spaces for storage. The colors in the room, were bright and fun. The bathroom had plenty of towels available. The shower was very hot and strong. The bathroom fan goes on with the lights, and it is a bit noisy. The TV was very large...perhaps 50". The room did have a fridge, but no microwave, coffee maker, or clock. The hotel does not have a choice to include those items...as the Spark brand of the Hilton chain has very specific rules that must be followed. Coffee is 24/7 in the lobby, and there are also several microwaves available. Truly...that should not be a game changer when deciding to stay in a hotel. The Pool is open and clean. The water was a bit cool, but it was refreshing, as the real feel outside was 105 degrees. We were blessed to be able to witness an incredible bright orange Strawberry Full Moon outside over the parking lot, and sunrise from our room window. Breakfast is referred to as a Breakfast Bagel Bar. They also had yogurt and fruit. Again, this is the design of the Spark Brand. We found it to be absolutely fine to get us going in the morning. This was our 3rd stay in Winchester, and it will likely be the one that we will return to on the next trip south to see our son in Lynchburg. Thank you to all of the friendly staff that made our brief stay memorable.

Bexar bones entry level Hilton OK for an overnight stay this was an economy, entry level hotel by Hilton. It was fine for a quick overnight stay and it even had an exercise room with a pool available. The facilities were essentially new, but everything was pretty much bare bones. We stayed in a room with a single king. It had a small refrigerator, but the microwave was downstairs in the breakfast room. there were no dressers or drawers rather cubicles for storage of a few items were available. there was a two person settee however the TV was situated in front of the bed with sub optimal viewing from the settee. The desk was very small with no desk chair, rather there was just a tuffit to sit on. Ice buckets were also centrally located on the first floor and were Styrofoam. Morning breakfast was Jimmy Dean eggwitches which you heated in a microwave. You could also have a limited selection of cereal. the surrounding area had every store you could possibly want including a Lowe’s, Costco, and Walmart.

Spark by Hilton in Winchester Virginia We usually stay in the Hilton Garden nearby but decided to try this new Hilton property. This hotel was previously another brand and is on a quality and comfort level with the Tru hotels. The hotel is a very "new" feel being only 5 months old. Everything was clean and very basic. The front desk clerk could have been a little friendlier and less business-like. The breakfast was spartan - the only things worth eating were the yogurt and a bagel. A hard boiled egg and some apple juice would have been an improvement. The hotel is on a quiet side street with a number of restaurant choices nearby. The television reception was awful, likely a satellite receiver issue. Not a bad choice in Winchester since it is still so new and clean.

Nice room, sparse breakfast The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. I only wish I had of read the reviews before I booked this last minute room. The breakfast consisted of bagels, meat and egg prepackaged sandwiches and yogurt- not the typical breakfast I’m used to at a Hilton brand hotel.
