Great place to overnight This hotel is consistently clean, good value for the dollar, free shuttle to the airport and all the necessary amenities for an overnight before or after travel. We use it all the time! The breakfast buffet contains a good variety of hot and cold items and the wait staff is friendly and welcoming.

Sad to leave this review. My spouse and love Best Western Hotels BUT this was the first one we did not. I should have read all the bad reviews first but never did as we always had great experiences. First of all, for 5 nights we booked we did not receive a free breakfast and we were shocked. The hotel was tired and was is need of a refreshment. Lots of people milling about smoking out front. The lobby seemed to be always full and lineups at the counter. We went to use the gym and was told it was closed because kids were playing on it and broke some machines. The pool was also closed. A few times police were in the halls and at the hotel. Nightly security would check out the car park out front. We didn't feel safe. A light bulb was broken in our room as well as the office chair, both were quickly fixed though. A cupboard door was falling apart. Our room was very clean though and housekeeping staff were excellent. I Hope the best Western Franchise knows what is happening with this particular hotel because it's being run into the ground. The one shinning thing about this hotel is the staff. They were all excellent. I was sad to leave this review.

Not a nice experience Outside hotel was littered with trash. People milling around in and around lobby. Hotel was an evacuation centre for a northern reserve due to forest fire. Our room was scheduled on third floor and with a comment on the evacuees being on that floor we requested to be moved to another floor which the desk attendant gladly granted. The elevator was littered with trash. A huge footprint on the elevator door. Security was on each floor. Our floor was quiet. Our room was nicely prepared. Around 11 pm the police arrived to break up an altercation in the front entrance of the hotel. Paramedics and the fire truck arrived to assist. Male was stabbed by a female and both were cuffed and removed by police. People were out front until well passed 2:30am. Lots of sirens all night long. It was a tiring night. They comped us with free breakfast but did not go as previous reviews said breakfast was not worth the effort. We will not be returning.

Er, go somewhere else The hotel itself is ok. Dated but functional and fine for a night's sleep. Staff friendly. But getting there at 4am did not leave a great impression. Loads of youths around the outside seating area. Into door, two security guards with Kevlar stab vests on. Up to forth floor, another security guard. Left about 10am.. no change.. security.. Vests.. Youths... Not being snobby here, but airport hotels are usually better than this. Pay a bit extra and do some research

Filty and reminiscent of a homeless shelter. This place does NOT look like the website photos. It is currently housing a Red Cross facility and is acting as a shelter for evacuated residents from northern Manitoba. It is filthy, spit in the elevators, loud, security with bullet proof vests outside the entrance...I cannot overstate how run down the facility is. The front desk staff were very friendly and humble about their situation. They tried to upgrade my room, however, I did not feel safe staying here for $175/night. Upsetting that, at no point, did the hotel or the booking system disclose the current status of the hotel. Spend a tad more and stay further from the Airport.
