Disgusting Vacasa property letting of apartment 11 in High Country Haus no 6 Winter Park CO USA Disgusting Vacasa property letting operations in Winter Park CO USA ( Winter Park Wonder at High Country Haus) Awful and deceptive customer care by the property manager/owner Vacasa. False advertising as a “non refundable booking” ,however the whole amount charged within a few minutes of making the booking. Disgusting apartment on arrival with blood stained sheets, dried up snot on tables, food crumbs on floors and tables, broken, unusable microwave, filthy cutlery and crockery, broken shower screens, filthy sofa upholstery, unreliable wifi unavailable some 20 hours a day out of 24. Old , dirty furniture unfit for a holiday rental. Online photos showing brand new stylish furniture in the apartment are another Vacasa fraud. Doonas covered in old hairs, dry skin and blood stains. Dirty, soiled cooktop surfaces. No kettle in the kitchen. No coffee making machine. Water was boiled in an old pot on the stove every time we wanted to have a cup of coffee. No ski rack and no other facilities to store ski equipment. No change of bed sheets, towels etc despite spending 11 nights in that apartment. No additional supplies of soap, shampoo , toilet paper etc during that time. Unusable wardrobes as they were filled with old furniture, dirty linen etc. All issues raised with Vacasa (together with photos sent)within a few hours of arrival , however completely ignored by Vacasa with only empty promises made to us. A housecleaning team sent to the apartment on our first night at about 10 pm some 7 hours after the issues were raised. As the cleaners had no English skills whatsoever, no cleaning was done that night. The following day all that was done was that the bed sheets were changed, despite a long list of jobs left for the cleaners. Another night at about 9.30 pm, power was lost to half of the apartment due to a electrical short circuit. Heating was lost in the apartment whilst the outside temperature was between -10 and -20C that night. Despite making contact with Vacasa within 5 min of the power failure, no emergency assistance was provided by Vacasa overnight. No emergency support services available on site. The following day, power was restored with no subsequent communication from Vacasa showing remorse about their abysmal customer care.

Administration is TERRIBLE My family owned one of these condos for about 18 years. The condo itself was nice, but the rec center is horrible, the outside hottub often being closed. Even after they renovated it, it never works. Every-time we tried to make a change on the condo, like when we wanted to replace a window, the board made it hard. Don’t buy one, don’t rent one.

Nice condo Condo was perfect for my husband, two children and myself. The beds were comfy. Location is in walking distance of gas station, restaurants and a river. Request a hair dryer, I forgot _. Clubhouse and pool are very nice. Bring pool towels from home or you’ll be washing your bath towels. There were games, movies and every kitchen item you may need provided. Very clean!

Great location and amenities We stayed in these condos in building 15. The really are in a great location within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the market. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath cozy condo. The outside of the buildings are outdated. The inside of the one we stayed in was completely remodeled with new appliances. The unit was right on the river, so we opened the door and heard the rushing of the water which was amazing. There is a new rec center which includes laundry, a pool table, a swimming pool and 2 hot tubs. There is also a playground. There are several walking trails, one which is about 5 miles long that goes along the river. There are a few bars you can walk to if you want to have a few cocktails without worrying about the drive! There is also the Link bus service that is free in Winter Park. Such a great, low key place to stay!!

Perfectly comfortable Spent four days at High Country Haus in Winter Park for a short ski trip. I was in building seven, unit five which is a first floor unit and is really convenient when you’re getting back from the slopes with all your gear on. The Lift bus pickup is right outside the door and the first pickup at 8:00am gets you to Winter Park in time for the first run. The lift is free and runs back and forth once per hour. The bottom line on this condo is that it’s a fully functional no frills sort of place. Probably built in the 70’s with little or no changes. The two bedroom unit came equipped with a well stocked kitchen in terms of utensils, an electric stove and microwave. Again everything was dated but it all worked. The only thing circa current decade was the TV. The beds were comfy. The only complaint wasn’t with the unit. I swear the people above us let their kids wear their ski boots inside and they walked everywhere in them it seemed. Even to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The rec center is about a two minute walk and is quite nice with three hot tubs (one outside) a large pool, small workout room, a pool table and nice locker rooms. If you are a tad older like me and get off the slopes earlier it’s a great place. By 4:30 or so the kids take over. Lol. The town of Winter park is conveniently located and there is a grocery market as well. Typical fancy ski town stuff. If you go further down HWY 40 to Frazier you can get a more local flavor. So if you’re looking for high end luxury this isn’t it. If you just want a place to crash your weary bones after a day of skiing and don’t care about much else, this works just fine.
