Highly recommended! Our stay was wonderful except for the slightly rude reception when we arrived. The travel agency quoted my first name as the surname and there was a slight confusion. Although the problem was settled but I find the art and manner of the German lady at the counter was a little offhand. I think the hotel should emphasize to the employees that courtesy is of utmost importance. However, our hotel stay was wonderful and all, except for the staff mentioned previously, were very good, professional and friendly. Our room was big and we had a balcony overlooking the river. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with a lot of choice. The outside jacuzzi was very nice and clean. The indoor swimming pool was also great. I had a massage session and the lady therapist did a marvelous job. Overall our stay was perfect and I would highly recommend this hotel. I would have given a 5 star if not for that small issue at the check in.

Beautiful hotel in Zermatt A lovely hotel situated next to the river not far from the centre of Zermatt. Helpful staff on reception, beatify reception area. The rooms are excellent. Everything has been thought of, lovely bed, bath, toiletries etc. no skimping here. Remember to book the transfer service from the station. The pool and outdoor jacuzzi are just excellent. Lovely bar area with real fire, but barman was a bit run off his feet! We really enjoyed our few days here. Pro’s Amazing room sitting area, lovely bath Great toiletries Free mini bar including beer and soft drinks Lovely pool and hot tub, also sauna Excellent breakfast Free pick up Zermatt not as stuck up as St Moritz!! No Zermatt city tax. Cons Bar understaffed but friendly Restaurant nice but very expensive Slippers for pool. Not in room, have to get from reception with chf 25 deposit for each pair.

Great comfort, location and hotel staff A lovely hotel in a great location overlooking the river. Traditional style with many historic references. Very comfortable and any queries were dealt with speedily and efficiently. The breakfast was fabulous with great variety. The courtesy drop off at the station was very welcomed. Afternoon yea and cake was a lovely surprise.

Amazing hotel with great views Loved this hotel, extremely nice.wish we had more than the 2 nights we spent here. Room was very spacious with amazing views of the Matterhorn. Food was also great, huge breakfast every morning. Receptionist very nice. We didn’t get to use the spa/pool area but looked amazing. Shuttle was cute that picks you up and drops you off at the train station. Easy walk to everything, you won’t be disappointed, just stay more than 2 nights if you can _.

ideal hotel for its location and view we stayed here in july 24 free shuttle pick up was prompt [ greatful to swiss railway for prompt service despite being handicapped] receptionist was cordial very helpful they provided free shuttle to pick up my luggage next day[sbb luggage parcel service from lucerne to zermat very promt economical] rooms are excellent just 100 meters from e bus stand around 300 meters walking from railway station very comfortable beds pillow slept very well air conditioned good breakfast spread even for veggies really enjoyed hospitality at breakfast counter especially mr evans will return back in april 25
