On any given weekend, photographers Triston and Darla could be making a session of almost anything, whether it's a smiling family, a 90th birthday party, or a famous musician destroying a famous tube amp. This breadth of experience feeds into the pair's portfolio, where striking portraits are shot against urban rivers and the junctions of railroad tracks. Their journalistic style becomes most important on wedding shoots, as the shot-snappers maneuver to capture cake cuts, dances, and the DJ's anguish at having irreparably scratched his Baha Men CD.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We are the only Weight Management Coaching resource that tackles both the emotional & psychological components of weight management, body image, and helps people transform their relationship with food so eating healthy becomes second nature.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Real Life Counseling & Coach Jenny saw a need in the Wichita community to address weight management from both the nutrition side, in addition to the emotional side. There are many resources that provide information - but we will also equip you with the skills & tools to make lasting changes.
What do you love most about your job?
The clients. It takes courage and commitment, and I love to see the transformation clients go through. The other day, a client shared with me a picture from the top of the mountain - one of her goals was to climb a mountain, and to see her reach the top makes this work so meaningful.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
The best feedback I get is hearing about the ongoing successes of my clients AFTER coaching. I believe that effective coaches give their clients the skills and empowerment they need to continue their successes long after the coaching process.
Symmetry Therapeutic Massage Spa sprang from the dream of two friends and fellow massage therapists who sought to demonstrate that massage could be used to better physical health. They started small, with a one-room office behind a Pilates studio. Soon, however, they found themselves juggling more appointments than they could handle. Just two years later, they moved into a sprawling new sports-partnered studio, creating a new source of relief for athletes whose massages previously consisted of lying in the middle of the turf during a game.
Today, Symmetry's founding pair leads
30 other licensed therapists, each with her own unique background and specialty. These practitioners treat clients with more than a dozen massage modalities, including neuromuscular massage, which relies on static pressure to relieve area-specific pain, and Thai Yoga. Services such as soothing steam therapy and invigorating dry body-brushing augment the offerings.
During the studio's semi-private workshops, including couples' workshops, the therapists teach clients how to perform their massage techniques at home. This allows clients to connect with their partners during couples massages whenever they have some private time at home or a long wait in a grocery-store line together.
As an accountant, Amanda Guthrie boasts a certain aptitude with numbers. She spends most of her time making sense of tax documents for individual clients, small business owners, and other organizations with payroll needs. Her favorite part of her job, though, isn't solving financial puzzles, but rather seeing clients flourish. "I like getting to see my clients every year and catching up on their lives and what they have been up to," she says. She enjoys alleviating the burden of fiscal management, so her clients can focus on other aspects of the lives and businesses. When it comes to tax preparation, she also prides herself on her ability to educate clients about what their return means and how they can benefit from future tax planning.
Staff Size: 2–10 people
