Every treatment at Gentle Balance Massage & Essential Oils includes fragrant, soothing aromatherapy. That means whether you opt for a massage to treat a sore back, a worried mind, or even a tense jaw, the sensation of loosening muscles and drifting thoughts is accompanied by therapeutic aromas. Gentle Balance's therapist is trained in multiple modalities, offering everything from hot stone to pregnancy massage as well as a jade stone aromatherapeutic face massage. This treatment targets 40 facial muscles that can lead to headaches, stiff jaws, or reversed dimples. Her other services include spa body wraps and scrubs, and couples massage classes.
At Vedic Spa, the treatments work in tandem with India's traditional Ayurvedic medicine, seeking to balance the three doshas and promote well-being. Facials employ paraben-free Anokha skincare products, developed from South Asian botanicals, and marma massage, which stimulates certain points to encourage energy flow. Body treatments include the Pedi Karma foot treatment, which is an herbal cleansing treatment that uses warm ghee or anise lotion, as well as the Shirodhara oil treatment, during which a steady stream of warm oil is gently poured over the forehead to encourage deep relaxation.
Founder Jay Rathod, a longtime aesthetician and educator, also performs meticulous threading services, as well as wedding prep services such as henna and makeup applications. And Vedic Spa has no shortage of traditional Western services, ranging from anti-aging facials and hot-stone massage to full-body scrubs and waxing.

La Mar Matthews proves that a massage amounts to much more than the sum of two hands. The licensed massage therapist and owner of Effleurence Studios Massage & Spa offers many different combinations of bodywork to treat many different conditions. These include Thai massage with stretching to restore mobility, cellulite massage to assist with weight loss, massage for infants, seniors, and cancer patients, dry brushing massages for the skin, and barefoot Ashiatsu massages that deliver deep, targeted kneads.
For massage therapist Stephanie R. Faulkner, Good Vibrations Massage and Reiki is a place of innovation. As co-owner, she folds a variety of modalities into custom treatment plans, continually tackling issues from different angles in order to provide the best relief possible. Stephanie's Reiki and reflexology sessions restore the energy balance; her trigger point, deep-tissue, and cranial sacral therapies target tissues and bones; and her body scrubs exfoliate and soften skin.
Rooted in the belief that massage is an essential aspect of good health, the therapists at The Art of Bodywork aim to make it accessible and affordable to all their clients. Better circulation is just one of the potential benefits from integrated and hot stone massage, which can also alleviate stress, pain, and worries about the muscles on your back you can never directly look at.
