What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Owner Geoff Meed holds Black Belts in 4 systems of martial art.
He ran front door security at rough nightclubs in Los Angeles, and mosh pit security for major hard rock bands.
Meed was also a substitute school teacher, and a guest hand to hand combat instructor to active duty U.S. Marines at MCRD.
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Preferably ages 6 and up, but we have had students as young as 5.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
After 24 years in Los Angeles, Meed was nearly killed on a movie set in 2012.
Having had enough of the L.A. lifestyle, he moved back to his hometown, Houston, to make his life long passions, martial arts and fitness, his day to day career.
What do you love most about your job?
Making children and adults aware of life's unfortunate, sometimes, darker side, and giving them the skills, and recognition to be able to avoid an attack, and defend themselves, if needed.
Enlightening my students that the stuff we do in the movies, or on martial art videos, is NOT always reality.
