DOP Athletics’ name stands for determination, overcoming, and perseverance. These are also the qualities its professional baseball coaches teach students to master as they learn the ins and outs of the game. Classes focus on individual and team instruction, helping each player master the fundamentals, including hitting, pitching, running, and catching.
Swimming through an indoor heated pool, the instructors at British Swim School teach independent swimming and safety skills to learners aged 3 months and older, adhering to a curriculum devised by British national swimmer Rita Goldberg. The 30-minute one-on-one classes and small-group lessons, containing six or fewer swimmers, elucidate essential techniques for water safety skills. Swimboree (ages 3 months–2 years with parents), Young Minnows (ages 1–2 years with parents), and Minnow classes (ages 3 years and up) teach swimmers basic water-survival skills, such as the back float. Turtle One and Turtle Two classes focus on freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke maneuvers, honing more structured swimming skills in older kiddos. British Swim School's Shark courses enhance stamina and speed and teach even more demanding strokes, such as the butterfly. Certain British Swim School classes require parents to participate in the water or to supervise from the pool deck, and adults-only lessons allow grown-ups to refine their own abilities without the supervision of a toddler.

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
We teach life lessons, character, and values with gymnastics as the tool. All children have potential and can excel in the right environment. We are mindful of differences and offer very competitive prices without a decrease in quality of coaching.
Our gym has 3 National Team coaches on staff.
Is your location strictly for adults, or can kids participate as well?
Our classes start at 2 years old and go up through our Adult Fitness classes. Gymnastics classes are USAG Levels 1-10. The voucher will be appropriately applied to any class.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
A love of gymnastics and teaching children sparked this business. Coach Mike is a National Team coach and former gymnast himself who always wanted to pass on his knowledge and further the sport of gymnastics.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing the kids progress throughout the years is wonderful. We have students who have been with us starting in Level 1 that are now in the Optional Levels and enjoy seeing them develop their own love and appreciation for the sport.
