  • Adventure Zone Paintball
Through the tree line at Adventure Zone Paintball, visitors can often hear the scattered reports of paintball markers and the thwack of their projectiles finding their targets. These friendly conflicts take place on seven fields, each ranging in size and configuration to encourage different combat situations. The largest is Hidden Valley, a heavily forested arena interwoven by trails and spotted with cover. The Outback encourages long-distance play with its central clearing, with players hiding in sniper towers, squatting behind plank walls, and standing awkwardly to pretend they are just trees. • Splatball
Unless you’re a spy, it’s not usual to look for danger behind every corner. But it is normal when you’re invested in a friendly bout of paintball. Inside Splatball's 10,000-square-foot facility, players avoid incoming splotches by ducking behind metal barrel- and castle-like structures—with the best of the best emerging to take control of the field. Referees are always on hand to make sure games don’t get out of line, and spectators watch battles unfold from a safe observation area. Splatball rents and sells equipment from 30 different manufactures, including Tippmann, Planet Eclipse, and Ninja, and keeps gear up to snuff with a full-service repair shop. • Devil Ops Airsoft
It's no easy task to navigate the large warehouse that holds Devil Ops Airsoft. Two separate airsoft fields are like giant mazes, where opponents and their plastic artillery could wait behind each and every corner. The first arena takes the form of fast-paced hallways, where players must change strategies on the fly and resist the urge to quote long speeches from action films. The second arena? A two-level battlefield. Here, players fight their way up and down stairs, then battle for control of multiple rooms. The team at Devil Ops Airsoft runs public games every Saturday and Sunday and they rent out their facility for private events during the week.
