  • Platinum Yoga
One of yoga's best qualities is its ability to give inner peace to the practitioner, who in turn is better prepared to connect with others and build community. At Platinum Yoga, this quality spills out of classes and into the post-class period as practitioners gather to share tea, coffee, and conversation about whether or not Downward is a good name for a dog. This sense of community isn't limited to yoga students, either—those who partake in fitness classes such as Zumba, Cardio Pump, and Nordic Walking also build camaraderie during and after high-intensity sessions.

We are a fitness community focused on assisting, and guiding you in reaching attainable and challenging goals. BDX Offers an assortment of classes. Our goal is to provide life changing options, that remove all excuses and replace them with options and opportunity. Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? Once you realize “It’s not about what you can do, it’s about what you can keep doing” the sky is the limit and the only thing holding you back is your own expectations. We remind you that you are amazing and watch the fitness happen. What was the inspiration to start or run this business? The opportunity to create entreprenuers, not employees was a huge insipiration. I knew so many fantastic trainers that could only afford to eat dried noodles while they encouraged clients to eat nutritious meals. Sometimes it seems big box gyms don't care about trainers or clients needs . What do you love most about your job? I love watching the inevitable growth and progressive momentum that follows living a healthy lifestyle. I get to watch clients take steps that seemed impossible into the life they have always wanted. Most of the time it started with a workout that seemed on the surface to be just a workout.

  • Conquer LLC
Sand shifts and slides beneath the feet of the athletes who traverse it. It softens pressure on the joints, but provides additional resistance for the volleyball players who favor the beach form of the sport. These are fundamental truths that Conquer's owner Jake Marshman understands. They are why his gym contains three pro-level indoor beach volleyball courts. There, he hosts classes that allow beach volleyball enthusiasts to practice their sport at any time of the year. This is a unique opportunity in Minnesota, where indoor courts are scarce, and the government has recently upgraded winter to the Ultra-Deluxe version. But the sand isn't for beach volleyball alone. Marshman also hosts race and obstacle training that's inspired by the popularity of races like Tough Mudder and Warrior Dash. During training sessions, the sand becomes a medium that mimics the slipperiness and resistance of mud (though without the mess). Students can practice their hanging, jumping, and vaulting skills on more than 20 obstacles that pepper the gym, from hanging rings and monkey bars to a towering warped wall.
