The second-largest city in Oregon, Eugene is full of attractions. The natural scenery that the Pacific Northwest is known for can fill a Eugene guide. However, other things to do in the city do not involve the natural setting. From independent cinemas to the weekly local market, the city offers several attractions that are waiting to be explored.
The Bijou Art Cinemas is a local treasure with its own cult following. It is one of few movie theaters in the state that offer foreign, independent and classic films. The Bijou also offers some of the best Eugene deals that can be found. Buy one get one promotions and discounts can combine to make the attraction easy on everyone's budget. Located downtown, the Bijou is easy to find.
Another useful attraction in the city is the Saturday Market. Each weekend, from spring to fall, the market is up and running near the downtown area. Handmade jewelry, clothing and trinkets are some of the things found in the Market. There's often live music to set the tone of the tranquil day and a food court area to feed anyone's hunger. Come to the Saturday Market to find some local culture and things to do in Eugene.
If the outdoors is calling, answer with a trip to the summit of Spencer Butte. The 2,055-foot butte seems to beckon hikers to continue climbing. It is not a difficult climbing surface, but the 1.08 miles upward to the summit often discourages the camera-snapping newcomers. Spencer Butte is located south of Eugene, but it is the highest point that can be seen from downtown. The butte is a part of the Ridgeline Trail system, allowing for easy routing after reaching the summit.
Whether the call of the wild or the need for foreign films has driven people to the city, there are still plenty of Eugene things to do in that are rarely mentioned in guides. The only way to find these attractions is to get out of the house and go looking for them. .

So much fun! Got to see some amazing animals!! I debated giving four stars for one reason being that when you go inside there literally is no one anywhere. We couldn’t do the full walkabout to Australia or the bird cage because it was locked and unsupervised. As was the goats petting and feeding spot. There were multiple places where people should’ve been. It didn’t effect us from having fun tho!
Jaqueline was amazing! And I have had lashes done before, but these were especially good and just how I like them. Her space was cozy and relaxing and she was so enjoyable.
