At Sun Kiva Kennel, visiting pets bound across 11 acres of sunny grounds and open-play spaces. The Kuttler family owns and operates the kennel, ensuring visiting cats, dogs, and birds are properly cared. A veteran of pampering pets, Louise Kuttler manages the office and ensures harmonious relations between visiting pups and her own brood of five dogs, including Philly, the kennel's designated greeter, and Kasey, a Rottweiler and retired show dog. Along with 75 boarding spaces, the heated and air-conditioned kennel boasts six extra-large play areas, where new acquaintances greet each other with polite sniffs and old friends seek to settle poker debts.
The crew at Pet Paradise coddles both overnight and daytime critter clients in a resort-like enclave, providing each furry boarder with private quarters, sumptuous bedding and toys, and an array of amenities. Canines can revel on a sun-baked lawn that surrounds the doggie-bone-shaped swimming pool before cooling humid hides with a refreshing dip. Supervised group playtime gives dogs a chance to find an alto for their moon-serenading choir, and outdoor walks allow for sightseeing and exercise. Meanwhile, pooped pooches can relish alone time in indoor/outdoor suites, and kitties can retire to a felines-only wing of the resort where soft-playing music relieves the stresses of a long day of napping, stretching, and napping.
