  • Personal Training
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? I have a background in counseling and life coaching, so I understand the importance of changing your thinking to accomplish your goals! Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? There are infinite exercises and the creativity involved in this can be exciting and fun. Finding what one enjoys is key. Keeping in mind the end goals and tracking one's progress and accomplishments also keeps us going strong! When you start to work out and it is a good program, you have more energy! What was the inspiration to start or run this business? In studying psychology I always found the mind-body connection fascinating and that it can be healing. After I had a car accident and whiplash, I had exercise therapy and it was a huge help to me personally. I became fascinated with how exercise can help us stay healthy and even heal. What do you love most about your job? I love the natural high we get from exercise and I love seeing people smile. I love to see people's lives changed through the process. Everyone is so different and has so much potential. When I see lives changed, I get a high from that too!

  • Peerfit
In 2011, four University of Florida graduates came upon a revolutionary idea for physical fitness: a mobile app. As such, PeerFit integrates Twitter, Facebook, and most other cybernetic interfaces to give its clients the ability to send themselves workout reminders via text, schedule gym sessions, and search for exercise classes by location. The social aspect of the program also lets fitness enthusiasts peruse class and instructor reviews—and write their own. This digital network keeps clients abreast of the goings on at their local gym, and can make them one of the first to know when a new gym starts offering their favorite class.
