Sculpted into the undulating countryside in the 1930s, Royal Meadows Golf Club received a facelift in 2002, when course architect Craig Schreiner redesigned much of the layout. The course now makes artful use of three ponds, including on the par-three seventh, where the hazard creates a forced carry from tee-to-green. A 573-yard par-five, the 18th hole brings the round to a dramatic conclusion without forcing carts to drive through a finish line that has been set ablaze.
After the round, golfers can retreat to the clubhouse, where large screen TVs, cold drinks, and snacks replenish golfers. A spacious building forged from old barn wood and tin paneling, the clubhouse winds the clock back to the course's rustic roots.

The late-October sun shining down on the stadium illuminates the 76,000 or so fans around you—fans who only pause their whooping, screaming, clapping, and whistling to yell for the Chiefs as another football game begins.
Arrowhead Stadium might initially impress visitors with its upgraded sound and scoreboard systems, expanded concourses, 360-degree video-ribbon board, and upgraded snack choices. But what keeps them coming back to the place is the camaraderie they feel watching their favorite football team catch a touchdown pass or stop an opponent short of the goal line.
The Hunt family recognizes this spirit, which is why when the time came to make decisions about the future of Arrowhead several years ago, they knew that, unlike other teams, who were tearing down and completely rebuilding their venues to better fit the modern world, they needed to preserve their iconic stadium. So with the help of Jackson County's loyal citizens, they raised $375 million and added such features as the Founder's Plaza, the luxurious Scout Investments Club Level, the Chiefs Hall of Honor presented by Time Warner Cable, and a new team store.

Preparing for a 5K usually requires some practice runs prior to race day. For The Music Run, though, it also entails sharing your favorite workout tunes. That's because this 5K draws inspiration from music festivals, and its soundtrack is built by the runners themselves.
Of course, there's only time for so many songs—after a nomination and voting process leading up to the race, the most popular songs land on the The Music Run's playlist. Those tunes are then blasted through concert-quality speakers posted every 50 yards along the course. And even when the last participant walks, jogs, or dances across the finish line, the music doesn't stop: a post-race music festival brings everyone together to celebrate the day's accomplishments.
No matter when your birthday is, you deserve a massive celebration. Each iteration of The Birthday Run—held in more than 125 cities and a dozen countries—invites people of all ages to come together in celebration of another year of existence. During each untimed event, participants walk or jog along a 5K course peppered with multiple party zones where live DJs and light shows get runners dancing. The whole event culminates in an after-party on the mainstage with guest performers that vary from city to city.
