At Tennessee Massage Therapy, a massage is rarely just a massage. It's often accompanied by heated stones, hot towels, or aromatherapy scents designed to melt tension and anxiety. And muscles don't get all the attention; scrubs crafted from salt, sugar, or coffee slough away dead cells to promote soft and healthy skin.

Q&A with Jessica Arnett, Massage Therapist, Owner
Do you agree with the phrase "beauty is on the inside?" Why or why not?
Yes, in more ways than one.
First, the human body was created to be a fine-tuned machine.
The muscles lengthen and shorten to provide movement.
Everything knows what it is supposed to do.
Second, I believe that you need to be joyful and grateful for the blessings in your life, as well as the struggles that have brought you to where you are now.
A beautiful heart is the difference between being joyful and grateful, or miserable and bitter.
Do you use any products or brands you're particularly proud of? What makes them uniquely effective?
Biotone massage gel.
I have used it for Swedish and therapeutic work and it hasn't let me down yet.
It provides the glide I like for Swedish yet isn't too slick for the more precise therapeutic work.
As I usually tend to have clients like a mix of both, it has worked out very nicely.
What's the most common beauty mistake you see people make? What would you recommend they do instead?
Having the "The World Revolves Around Me" attitude.
I don't care how beautiful you are, that is ugly.
It causes you to do things that are rude, and makes you obnoxious because you feel everyone around you needs to know when you are unhappy--which is usually most of the time.

Lilac Healing Center is staffed by a diverse group of trained therapists who improve their clients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Founded by licensed massage therapist Kathryn McDaniel, Lilac Healing Center slowly grew out of a series of other businesses—what began simply in 2002 as a place where people went to get a massage became a destination for all kinds of healing services. Today, the staffers not only perform bodywork and therapeutic yodeling, but they also provide acupuncture, energy work, and custom vitamin programs. In addition, the center hosts a multitude of both private and group yoga, Pilates, and meditation classes.
Eve's: A New Beginning's approach to wellness concerns not only individual patients but whole families, from their oldest members to yet-to-be-born babies. As a certified nurse-midwife and a family nurse practitioner, the center's chief practitioner, Melan Smith-Francis, is well qualified to fulfill that goal. Aided by a team of nurse practitioners, Melan guides expectant mothers through prenatal care, manages low-risk pregnancies, and introduces newborns to their first beef wellington.
In addition to treating newborns and mothers, Melan treats men, women, and children by focusing on preventative care. She helps to fortify her patients against illness with annual checkups and bloodwork.
Gordon Robison’s small-town upbringing in Tennessee, along with his passion for preparing young women for Teen and Miss USA pageants, led him to create Gordon & Co. Salon, a spa that features high-end treatments in an inclusive, down-home atmosphere. In addition to treating scalps with Pravana coloring products and Aquage styling balms, Gordon's affable staffers perform body treatments and massages. Scrubs incorporate coffee or honey and almond scents, and spray tans leave skin looking sun-kissed without the painful radioactive lip marks. The massage therapists draw from a number of therapeutic modalities, targeting knotted muscles with gentle kneading or improving sluggish circulation and lymphatic flow with energy work.
