Having benefited personally from her experiences with yoga, head instructor Lin Horsch hopes to share, heal, and fortify at Ageless Yoga. Rooted in the belief that yoga should be accessible to people of all ages and abilities, Horsch and her staff of yogis lead five types of yoga classes, but emphasize the fact that yoga can and should be used to heal the body—just as Horsch experienced.
Dr. Gary Meek joins a team of physicians and a trained staff at Meek Chiropractic to analyze and realign vertebrae of all shapes and sizes. Meek brings an expertise in pregnancy needs, care for athletes, and pediatrics to the table, helping the group bolster the extensive experience that includes treating minor leaguers from the Springfield Cardinals baseball team and athletes from various colleges.
With that experience, they've built up a wide range of treatment plans and methodologies to help realign patients. Depending on your needs, they can administer acupuncture treatments, perform nutritional counseling, and give instruction in corrective exercises, which reinforce the effects of chiropractic care and train you not to sleep on park benches. Their 10,000-square-foot facility is equipped with private exam rooms and a children’s playroom.
After years of teaching and practicing a variety of yoga styles, Sumit Banerjee founded Sumits Yoga. The sequences and styles students learn in his classes reflect his extensive background in Bikram and Vinyasa yoga. More important, though, he works to share yoga's incredible benefits—a toned, flexible body; a relaxed state of mind; and improved overall well-being. Sumits Yoga's classes all take place in a heated environment, so students can enjoy the added benefits that heat brings—including detoxification and increased blood flow—without standing next to a volcano.
