  • Euphoria
Cuisine Type: Desserts and pastries Established: 2014 Most popular offering: Cupcakes Delivery / Take-out Available: Yes Pro Tip: Mobile bakery. We can deliver items or they can be picked up. We cater also. There is a saying in the food world that "cooking is an art, baking is a science." However Lashaunte, the chef and owner behind the Sweet Euphoria Pastries mobile bakery, might disagree with that statement. She whips up a plethora of tempting desserts using recipes that she has come up with herself, proving that creativity is just as necessary in baking as it is in cooking. Lashaunte has even been known to ask her Facebook fans and strangers in the grocery store if there are any dessert flavors they want to try, and she attempts to accommodate them with her creations. Some of her treats include macarons flavored with cereal—such as Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks—cream-cheese chocolate-chip cookies, and a different type of scone each month. She also concocts vegan and gluten-free desserts upon request, but her most popular offerings are inventive cupcakes, such as espresso chocolate with caramel and peanut butter and jelly.

  • Hooters Riverside
Although it now has more than 430 locations in 28 countries, Hooters wasn’t always welcomed by the public. In fact, when it opened in October 1983 in Clearwater, Florida, the founders of the restaurant were “quickly detained for impersonating restaurateurs,” according to the company's website. But the restaurant was able to prove it was more than just a pretty face—that it was serious about serving tasty American food and frosty brews—and its popularity exploded in the decades to follow. Amid its beach-themed vibe and flat-screen TVs, Hooters still fuels appetites with original chicken wings, burgers, sandwiches, and fresh salads. Of course, nobody carries those casual eats and icy pitchers better than the Hooters girls. To complement their friendly smiles, their uniforms harken back to the ones the original waitresses wore in 1983: orange hot shorts and white tank tops with the emblematic owl on the front—though that owl has lost its Lionel Richie perm.
