It was the first Palm Desert golf course when it opened in March 1958. The golf club offers a variety of golf memberships, affordable public play and golf instruction. Located just 2 blocks from world famous El Paseo shopping district, Shadow Mountain Golf Club is built to test but not overtax golfers, the par 70 Palm Desert golf course is one of few in the desert that can still be walked. The golf course challenges golfers of all abilities and rewards golfers who shape their shots and use their head more than their driver. With over 600 mature palm trees, the fairways are well defined and the challenging greens are protected by well placed sand bunkers. This course offers many beautifully scenic views. Water hazards come into play on five holes. The signature hole is #7, a par 3, in which you tee off from a hill that overlooks the whole valley. This course offers a variety of twilight rates which vary in price depending on what time you'd like to tee off. The Journey at Pechanga is seven miles of scenic cart rides and demanding golf in southern California’s Temecula Valley.
