Eleven miles northeast of Boerne in the scenic Texas Hill Country is Cave Without a Name, a natural, living cavern, and some say the most beautiful in Texas. The cave is 39 miles from downtown San Antonio. It was opened for public tours in 1939, and is designated a National Natural Landmark.
