Urs Eichenberger?the mind behind Strands Hair and Skin Treatment Centre?honed his pampering skills while working in European spas and ski resorts in Switzerland. He still regularly cracks open his passport to attend international hair seminars that teach the latest industry techniques, including computer imaging and light treatments for the skin, which he brought back to the salon. He also taught his staff how to give Thermo cuts, which rely on heated scissor blades to seal the ends and prevent premature splitting.
In addition to using light treatments, Urs's team of aestheticians relies on Zatoza skincare products, hypoallergenic wax imported from Italy, and Thalasso anti-cellulite treatments to fine tune looks. The aesthetics side of the centre also performs Angel's Touch massages, which use soft fan brushes made from hairs plucked from angel wings to relax clients with sensitive skin. They are an ammonia-free and nanosilver-free salon.
