Maccripine Country Club officially opened to members from Macclesfield, Pinetops, Crisp, and Edgecombe County, NC on Saturday, August 5th, 1967. Originally, construction began in June, 1966. The initial membership was 259 members. The entire facility occupies 185 acres. The course was designed by Leo Green, engineer with F.T. Green and Associates of Wilson and constructed by Charles and Associates of Charlotte. The first Golf Pro and Greens Superintendent was William Lytton. Mark and Martica Hartley are the owners of Maccripine Country Club.Mark has been a member for over 10 years.
The 18-hole "Northgreen" course at the Northgreen facility in Rocky Mount, North Carolina features 7,122 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 74 and it has a slope rating of 130. Designed by Bob Toski, the Northgreen golf course opened in 1974.

With the opportunity to create a championship golf course for our community that challenges our players hole after hole and game after game, we turned to David Johnson Golf Design of Atlanta. Our North Carolina course is one that every golfer can enjoy regardless of handicap, and it emphasizes strategic play with the demands on players escalating as you move from the front to the back tees. The golf course has five sets of tees on each hole, playing 7,085 yards from the back tees and 4,900 yards from the front tees. There is a balance of dogleg lefts, dogleg rights, straight holes, large greens, small greens, and a wonderful variety of hole lengths. The 18th fairway runs along our beautiful 80-acre Lake, and two man made ponds heighten the challenge.

The course rating is 71.6 and it has a slope rating of 124 on Bermuda grass. Designed by David Postlewaite, the Hedingham golf course opened in 1991.

Olde Liberty Golf and Country Club is as exciting as it is beautiful. Carved from 543 acres, the golf course offers perhaps the most scenic views in all the Triangle. Raleigh Golf Association was founded in 1929. We are the oldest public golf course in the Raleigh area. Our course was re-designed in 1998 by David Postlethwaite. RGA currently has 18 holes public and 9 holes that are private but are open to the public at certain times. These 27 holes of golf provide unique challenges for all levels of golf experience. RGA is "walker-friendly", with minimal distances from green-to-tee. Raleigh Golf Association currently hosts a variety of corporate, fund raising, tournament, and league play events. Our staff is committed to the success of each and every event staged at RGA. We are proud to be a favorite destination of senior, women, and junior golfers. RGA currently hosts senior and women specific golf leagues, and is a frequent host of local high school tournaments and matches.

The Lonnie Poole Golf Course is a dream come true for NC State University. The stunning layout has been designed by Arnold Palmer and the design team at Arnold Palmer Design Company (including Erik Larsen and Brandon Johnson, both NC State graduates). Likewise, the golf course serves as a teaching and training facility for the Professional Golf Management (PGM) Program in the College of Natural Resources. Originally established in 1986, Wildwood Green debuted as the best new course in Raleigh. We made a great layout even better by completing a major re-design in 1996, with the addition of new bunkers, greens and irrigation under the watchful eye of architect John LaFoy. Being voted one of the ten best golf course designers in America, Mr. LaFoy created Wildwood Green so it could be player by golfers of all levels with four sets of tees.
Wildwood Green was created with players of all levels in mind. Stretching to 6500 yards from the back tees, our par 70 layout is challenging enough for the best players yet still fun for the occasional golfer. Which is why we have four sets of tees for the player to choose the one best suited to his/her enjoyment of the game.
