  • World Class Driving Las Vegas
Even though the year 2000 left the world bereft of jetpack-tuxedos, the staff of World Class Driving still believes in a merger of high class and high speeds. They have amassed a collection of 20 supercars—all owned, none rented—through which they share their enthusiasm for velocity with America. Patrons sign up for drives on open roads and racetracks, piloting recent models from Ferrari, Bentley, Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz, and Lamborghini. Surrounded by the scarlet shell of a Ferrari 458 Italia, for example, they can propel themselves to 60 miles per hour in a scorching 3.4 seconds. Although swiftness remains a key element of its creed, the company doesn't shirk on style: steering a Bentley Continental GT, according to the website, is "like driving a very powerful, very deluxe English drawing room." Each car also has an immersive aural component, from the "basso profundo" of the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren's side pipes to the adorable mewing of the Jaguar XKR-S as it repeatedly drives over a ball of yarn. The US Tour XL permits participants to zoom down 120 miles of public road in five of these exotic vehicles by setting up checkpoints along the route. In Las Vegas, customers drive four types of cars during a scenic trip to the Hoover Dam or take out a trio around Red Rock Canyon. The 360 Track Experience, on the other hand, indulges adrenaline cravings with a day of Ferrari Challenge racing at various professional tracks.

  • Stem2success
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? STEM2Success is founded BY students, FOR students. Grades 6 through 12 are some of the most important years of a student's academic life, and can be some of the most daunting. We understand the unique challenges that today's students in southern Nevada face, and believe everyone should feel inspired Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring? If applicable, students are responsible for bringing their homework to lessons and any class notes they have taken or received. If none, as in the case of summer, STEM2Success tutors have access to textbooks and materials they can use as resources for each lesson. What was the inspiration to start or run this business? Frustration with the State of Nevada's inefficiency with education, coupled with the desire to help others succeed, were the major forces behind starting STEM2Success. We believe all students should have the opportunity to succeed, but they first need to develop the skills to BECOME successful! What do you love most about your job? The "aha!" moment, when you completely understand something, is invaluable. Students achieving their academic (and even career) goals is even BETTER! An education is a VERY powerful tool in today's world.

  • The Playground Las Vegas
Shrill giggles and the muffled scurrying of sock-swathed feet echo off the pastel-hued interior of The Playground, where tykes between the ages of 5 months and 6 years flock for developmental classes and freestyle playtime. During open-play sessions, ankle biters frolic through an air-conditioned space populated by plush slides, ziplines, swings, a trampoline, and a Lilliputian climbing wall, where wee ones can practice their crib-escaping skills or lecture younger friends about the lack of oxygen at high altitude. Caretakers guide kids through more structured play during classes, which are designed to foster balance, coordination, and cooperation with teachers and fellow students. The curriculum ranges from parent-accompanied classes that fuse dancing and sing-alongs to Our Little Princess classes, which take children through an interactive journey filled with dancing, dress-up, story time, and constant pressure to marry into a diplomatically advantageous family.

  • Pure Speed Racing Experience
A driver curls his fingers around the steering wheel, takes a deep breath, and places his foot onto the peddle, bringing a mechanical beast to life. The screech of burning rubber, roar of an 500-horsepower engine, and the silent rush of adrenaline block out the rest of the world, allowing the driver to focus entirely on the run. As he battles the g-force, the realization hits that he has just achieved a lifelong dream: He is a drag racer. Doug Foley first noticed the lack of a comprehensive drag-racing training center in 1997, and took it upon himself to fill the void. Along with a team of instructors, Foley lets novices ride shotgun or drive themselves to taste drag racing for the first time. Once the new racers are hooked, a lineup of beginner to advanced Licensing classes are available. Through these efforts, Foley and his team ready drivers to compete in professional races and fulfill a dream.
