Whenever Susan Price looks at a clock, it likely reads family time. She is a mother of three and the owner of Capturing Joy, a photography studio that specializes in outdoor photo shoots for high-school seniors, families, and kids. Most of her photos are in color, lit by sunlight, and set against rural backdrops, such as a field or a stack of Old MacDonald’s royalty checks. Susan is an outdoorsy type—she likes to garden and her family has a lot of pets—and one of her favorite photo-shoot tricks is to hand youngsters a few rabbits and snap pics of the ensuing cuteness.
