About Young Chefs Academy San Antonio

"If you make it, you will taste it" is the motto founders Julie Fabing Burleson and Suzy Vinson Nettles envisioned when they created Young Chefs Academy. In addition to giving youngsters hands-on exposure to culinary techniques, kitchen safety, eating etiquette, and table setting, the academy's philosophy ensures that kids like 10-year-old former veggie-hater Camille gain an appreciation for healthy homemade cuisine. With centers in more than 10 states, Young Chefs Academy enriches growing minds ages 3–18 with engaging cooking classes, camps, and birthday parties that impart valuable life skills, such as self-reliance and how to trick a younger sibling into doing the dishes.

My kid really liked the food he cooked but we couldn’t get the recipes for him to do it again. I asked a couple times for them printed or emailed. Over all he really liked it and we will try again

It was an awesome experience for the two girls that I took. They had a blast. The instructors were very good. The one Suez chef that was helping with this class he really did not know his way around the kitchen let alone some of the kitchen tools. I would take any kids there. This is a very nice, fun and educational experience for kids.

My daughter and her friend went for a play date, and loved it! She ate and drank stuff that she normally wouldn’t consume. Not she is more open to trying new foods!

Um...I paid to have my kid make SALAD? SERIOUSLY? Yall need to be slapped for this. I was so bothered, but I didn't want my daughter to be disappointed as she was so excited that she was actually going to be cooking like a chef. I swear I should have asked for a supervisor: the equipment wasn't functioning properly or at all and they had the kids doing the most random things for a salad. I was so disappointed, while on the other side kids were baking cupcakes, but I guess THAT class costed more. Buyer beware. I guess I should have called and asked what the kids were cooking that day, as I don't consider SALAD something to cook.
