The Great Georgia Air Show

Four red jets cut through the sky above Falcon Field, synchronizing their movements as plumes of white stream behind them. This is the Aeroshell Aerobatic Team, just one of many airborne performers in The Great Georgia Air Show. As the audience throws their collective head back, they’ll take in the chill-inducing twists and rolls of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, the Black Diamond Jet Team, and the U.S. Army Black Daggers. But the skies don’t exclusively hold fighter jets and single-engine airplanes—the parachute specialists of the U.S. Army’s Golden Knights can also be seen gliding gracefully through the air.

Elsewhere on the grounds, ticket holders can listen to live music or participate in attractions for both kids and adults. These include a 4D theatre, full motion simulators, warbird and helicopter rides, a jet truck, kids zone, wall of flames, and an aviation expo. Food trucks and craft beer are also available for customer sustenance. Besides filling onlookers with wonder and engineless birds with jealousy, the non-profit air show helps fund more than 50 area organizations including academic clubs and community programs.
