3D Printing Event
3D printers create three-dimensional objects, in a method akin to sculpting—except the exact opposite. Rather than chiseling away material, the printers add new material layer by layer, creating final products ranging from new product prototype to a simple plastic cookie cutter. Its a revolutionary industry changing the way people look at the creation of products and materials.
This event delves more deeply into the topic with a presentation from the team behind HoneyBee3D. They’re used to explaining the process—at their 3D printing retail shop, one of the first in the country, they offer classes for everyone from beginners to savants who want to print a 3D printer with a 3D printer. Sculpteo, an online 3D printing service, will be also be demoing how to mold pottery online with your fingers then have it printed out. After their talk, visitors nosh on light appetizers from an upscale restaurant and sip pours from a cash bar as they watch the cutting-edge printers in action, demo the machines, and stand on a human turntable to be scanned live into a 3D model. Street Parking is abundant and free.

“It was a great way to try small bites from several trucks in addition to buying my usual full size faves!”
“This was fun! I tried food from trucks I'd never eaten at before. ”
