$26 for a 90-Minute Harbor Cruise for Two ($52 Value)

Cruises run from June 7 through late October, departing from Bowen's Wharf at 10:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m., and 6:30 p.m. Children aged 4 and younger may board for free.

During casual 90-minute cruises, the M/V Gansett totes up to 49 passengers around Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay. Cushioned, shaded seating and a rooftop sun deck are among the boat's modern amenities, and on every voyage, guests enjoy a complimentary treat reflective of Rhode Island cuisine, such as coffee cabinet shakes, Warwick's ice cream, morning mimosas, or a sunset champagne toast. Tour guides, many of whom grew up in the area, share history and facts throughout the cruise. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on board as long as they're on a leash and willing to switch their cell phones to vibrate. A cash bar also offers water, beer, and soft drinks.

Gansett Cruises

From spring through autumn, morning through nightfall, the M/V Gansett can be spotted skimming gracefully atop the tides of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay's east passage. Built in 1969 as a passenger vessel and later altered into a working lobster boat, it was completely restored with modern amenities before returning to the water in June of 2007. Today, passengers climb aboard to absorb historic sights of Jamestown and Newport during relaxing, 90-minute trips, which were named the Best Harbor Tours in Newport by Yankee Magazine in 2013. Knowledgeable guides share facts throughout every cruise, and complimentary Rhode Island-inspired eats served straight from the galley let guests discover the flavor of the Ocean State without having to plunge a straw into local penny fountains.

We enjoyed seeing the sights from the harbor and our tour guide filled us in on all the history, sights, and trivia along with a few jokes

Cindy H, TripAdvisor, 10/20/12

We had a great time on this harbor cruise. The staff on the boat were very friendly and the refurbished lobster boat was in immaculate condition.
